Today we’d like to introduce you to Anel Abdulovic
Hi Anel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Cafe Adel started up in 2013 with the idea of bringing Bosnian/Balkan Food to the Houston Area. We have been open since and have relocated in 2021 to our new Galleria location. Very thankful to the Houston community for being loyal and giving us a try, not every day do you see Bosnian restaurant close by.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was a tough ride, it took us some time in bringing our name out to the community and educating our customers to what Bosnian cuisine is. It is a mix of Turkish/Mediterranean and Eastern European flavors.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Well my days consist of starting early at Cafe Adel, preparing everything fresh on a daily basis. Making sure lunch is ready to go by 11am and after setting up for Dinner. We are unique in a sense that Cafe Adel is the only Bosnian Restaurant in Houston.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Coming by trying our dishes or just saying hello. Would love to work with different organizations or restaurant owners as well.
