Daily Inspiration: Meet Ashleigh Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashleigh Williams.

Hi Ashleigh, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My first business was in 2014. It was called Kraveble Kreations. It was cute little decorated mason jars with deserts in them, I did countless baby showers, weddings and birthday parties. They made great party favors. It grew over the years. I started baking cakes, puddings and cobbler by the pan. I ran this business by myself until about 2019, although I love to bake. I do not love it enough to make a career out of it.

In August 2020, I started pondering on opening an online children’s boutique and Mom blog. Wife and mother of 3 children, ages 3,5, and 11. It just made sense!! I often struggled trying to find clothes that fit my pre-teen comfortably that weren’t too revealing. She’s 11 and much taller than most her age so shopping for her is not an easy task. And, Honestly. I don’t see kids dressing like kids anymore. I’d like to provide more options when shopping for your children. From the youngest all the way to the oldest.

My website will be available to shop towards the end of July 2021!! There will also be blog entries and hopefully, YouTube videos on topics such as hair care products for my children as well as myself and our adventures as a family. My goal is to one day have a physical location. I would like to hire my daughter once she’s of legal working age along with other teens to work and run the boutique.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

It’s been a struggle finding good vendors. That’s been the most challenging part of all of this. I probably could’ve launched sooner but I want the clothing to last as well as be affordable.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

I worked as an administrative assistant for a Spine Injury clinic in Houston for 9 years. It was something that I loved at one point in my life but as the years went by and I had more children I felt I needed something that allowed me to be available when my family needed me. I left that job in August 2019 and started working in property management. I have the ability to work from home whenever I need to and the work environment is much better. I’m usually the person everyone comes to when they need to vent or a moment to step away from a stressful situation on the job. I plan to take my state exam for my real estate license soon, and my job has encouraged me to do so.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Property management and Real Estate is a forever growing industry.

I also feel the same about retail. People love to shop, especially for their children.
