Hi Austyn, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Pursuing audio engineering in college has greatly impacted my knowledge and creativity when it comes to music. I feel as if gaining that experience has given me a distinct advantage when it comes to creating my own music. I am in control. I am in the driver’s seat. That’s not to say that I can do absolutely everything on my own. An equally important advantage that I’ve gained whilst pursuing audio engineering is networking with like-minded individuals with skill sets similar to my own. I wouldn’t be where I am today with my team working with me and motivating me every step of the way. We’re all working toward a common goal and that is to become fully financially independent and stable whilst pursuing our passions.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not! The saying “Easy come, easy go” is applicable to this situation. Trying to build a legacy from scratch takes time, consistency, and discipline. Setbacks are inevitable. Life happens. That’s when 95% of people quit at whatever it is that they’re pursuing. It’s the last 5% that stick through the ups and downs that will reap the benefits in the long run.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Artist & Audio Engineer. I think going to school for Sound Engineering set me apart from other independent artists out there. Getting the professional training allowed me to perfect my craft both in the studio and on stage. I am proficient in recording, mixing & mastering professionally.
