Today we’d like to introduce you to Buc
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I like to believe I’ve always been a creative person even though I feel everyone is creative in their own right. I just always felt a need to find ways to express my creativity and that started with clothing and the way I dress. My interest in vintage and different styles of clothes led me to the thrifts where I started collecting different styles pieces and forming my own style which then led me to learning how to hand sew to restore the things I found. From that I started reconstructing denim to wear to school and I grew more to gravitate towards more things that are unique and wanting to create 1 of 1 clothing pieces. Eventually buying a sewing machines and self teaching myself to sew. All of this ended of birthing my clothing brand STILL MISUNDERSTOOD which I saw as avenue to share my ideas and creations clothing wise
Around this same time I took an interest in videography mainly shooting and editing vhs video to document and vlog the things I did with my friends
Then in my senior year of high school I began to learning to make and record music myself because I felt like I didn’t hear enough music that resonated with me personally and the way I view things
All of this happened between 2014-2018 and now 6-10 years later im still using all those different avenues and more to express myself and share things with people
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think life in general isn’t a smooth road , so of course there have been setbacks, doubts, fall outs with colleagues and collaborators nothing significant enough to talk about cause I know this all comes with the journey it goes hand and hand with it
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I would say I’m a renaissance man, so I do a various amount of things. People generally recognize me most for my clothing brand, music, and videography.
I feel like my individuality and unconventionality in the way I approach my craft and go about executing is what sets me apart most
What are your plans for the future?
I want everything I do from this point now to be BIGGER than what I did before it.
I have things planned for the near future but I like to but they into action first before speaking on it
