Today we’d like to introduce you to Chandler Getzinger.
Hi Chandler, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I didn’t set out to become a coach. I became one by stepping into the role I had already been playing for years. I was the person people turned to when they felt stuck, craved clarity, or knew they were meant for more.
In my twenties, I was searching. I moved through different paths with a strong drive to succeed, but underneath that ambition was a deeper question of fulfillment. I started in leasing, transitioned into real estate, and eventually became a small business owner, building a moving company from the ground up. Each chapter taught me more about myself, and relationship’s with others, but I still felt there was something more I was meant to do.
That business ultimately led me into a political action committee advocating for small businesses. Through that network, I was invited to step into a coaching role, supporting other entrepreneurs who were seeking growth and funding. Recognizing the responsibility of that work, I chose to deepen my expertise and enrolled in the CoachRice program at Rice University, where I earned my ACC certification through the ICF.
At the same time, being coached myself changed everything. It challenged my limiting beliefs and helped me uncover my deeper why. I realized that a painful experience from my childhood had shaped my desire to help others build healthier, more connected relationships. I had also seen firsthand the cost of staying stuck for too long, and I knew I wanted to help people move forward and live lives that felt fully their own, by design rather than default.
That clarity led me to pursue a psychology degree with plans to become a licensed marriage and family therapist.
Today, I am a wife and a new mother, supported by a partner who believes deeply in my growth. That season of life has made alignment even more important. This path not only fulfills my purpose, but also supports the life I want to create through flexibility, connection, and financial stability.
I am not just a coach. I am a product of coaching. Through Eminent Coaching, I help high-performing individuals gain clarity, take aligned action, and step fully into their next level.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road, and I think that’s part of what gives my journey meaning.
I didn’t take the traditional path. In my early thirties, I made the decision to go back to school full-time to pursue my psychology degree. That choice requires a different level of resilience, curiosity, and self-belief than simply continuing forward on a path you’re already on. You have to be anchored in your “why,” because there are moments where that’s the only thing that carries you through.
There are real sacrifices that come with that decision. As a family, we had to readjust everything. My husband has been incredibly supportive, but support at that level requires trade-offs; time, structure, and financial shifts. Being in school full-time means I’m investing in the future rather than maximizing income in the present.
In the middle of that journey, my husband and I chose to grow our family. I was finishing my sophomore year when we had our son, and returning to school as a junior with a newborn has added a new layer of challenge and perspective.
But I live by the belief that you choose your hard. It would be far more difficult for me to stay where I was than to pursue the life I know I’m meant to build.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What I’m most proud of is that I actively live the work I guide others through. I’ve consistently chosen growth over comfort; returning to school in my 30s, pursuing my coaching accreditation, building a business, and stepping into motherhood, all at the same time. As a wife and homeowner, I’m also constantly navigating the day-to-day challenges of building a life. Whether that’s managing responsibilities, investing in our home, or taking on DIY projects that require patience, learning, and follow-through. I don’t believe in asking clients to do anything I’m not willing to do myself. I’m a direct example of what it looks like to move forward despite fear, resist complacency, and choose the harder path that leads to long-term fulfillment.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 5–10 years, the coaching and therapy industry will become more accessible, personalized, and technology-enabled. AI is already enhancing the client experience by improving efficiency, supporting tailored programs, and allowing practitioners to remain fully present. This strengthens, rather than replaces, the human connection that drives meaningful change.
At the same time, demand for mental health support continues to rise. Insurance providers are expanding coverage, and organizations are increasingly investing in coaching as a strategic lever to attract, retain, and develop talent. Coaching is shifting from a perceived luxury to an expected component of high-performing environments.
There is also a clear cultural shift toward authenticity. As audiences become saturated with overly curated content, clients are placing greater value on credibility, self-awareness, and real connection. Trust is becoming the defining factor, not visibility.
Finally, the lines between coaching, therapy, and personal development will continue to integrate. Clients are seeking deeper, more holistic support that translates into lasting change.
As access to support expands, the broader impact will follow. Healthier individuals will lead to stronger relationships, more effective leadership, and greater overall fulfillment.
