In 2016, my journey in the tax industry began. At the time, I was a single mother of two boys, working hard to provide but tired of the constant struggle. I knew I wanted more for my family, but I stayed under someone else’s tax office because it felt safe and familiar. For years, I was comfortable—but I wasn’t growing.
By 2023, something inside me shifted. I decided to take a leap of faith and step out on my own. I opened my very first tax office, even though I didn’t know if anyone would support me. What I did know was that I had a purpose: to serve my community, help families build financial independence, and create a legacy for my children.
The journey wasn’t easy. There were doubts, challenges, and moments where giving up seemed tempting. But I stayed dedicated. I leaned on my faith, my hustle, and my belief that financial knowledge can transform lives.
Today, C&A Tax Service isn’t just a business it’s a movement. I’ve helped countless clients not only maximize their refunds, but also understand their finances, improve their credit, and take steps toward generational wealth.
What started as one mother’s determination to provide for her kids has grown into a brand that empowers others to break free from financial limitations. At C&A, we don’t just file taxes we build futures.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I didn’t know if anyone would believe in me or my vision not only that but starting a business from scratch while raising kids meant every dollar mattered. Many people I thought would be in my corner weren’t. That forced me to rely on faith and my own determination. But through it all, I never gave up. Every challenge taught me something about business, about resilience, and about myself. Those struggles shaped me into the leader I am today, and they built the foundation for C&A Tax Service to become more than just a tax office it’s a place where people feel supported, empowered, and inspired to build financial independence.

The future for me and C&A Tax Service is about expansion and impact. I’m looking forward to scaling my business beyond just tax preparation into a full financial hub for my community. My vision is to open multiple offices, build a stronger team of trained tax professionals, and create opportunities for others to become entrepreneurs under the C&A brand.
I also plan to expand our services in credit education, business funding, and life insurance solutions because financial independence is bigger than just one area. I want to continue teaching people how to build wealth, protect their families, and create legacies.
A big change I’m excited about is developing more digital resources and training programs so that clients and new tax preparers can access financial education from anywhere. I see C&A not just as a company, but as a movement that will touch lives across the U.S. helping families break generational cycles and step into financial freedom.
