Daily Inspiration: Meet Corey Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Jones.

Hi Corey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I moved here in 2015, and worked in a barbershop for a year. Decided to venture out and open a suite with about 10 clients in my arsenal. Scared was an understatement but I knew if I applied myself I could make it. The worse thing that could happen is it doesn’t work which is the end result if you never try.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not a smooth road at all. I’m my first 3 years I rarely made any money, I gave away free haircuts, and discounts. One thing I learned more important than anything, is that always remember its business. You always have to make decisions based on the company and not personal feelings.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Left-hand master barber. Specialize in fades, tapers, scissor cuts, and straight razor shaves. Known for transforming my clients not only with they haircuts but also within. Positive vibes only. I’m most proud of establishing myself as a Quality Barber and being known for consistent quality work. And just focusing on myself and my brand and getting better every day sets me apart from everyone.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
My Hardwork.
My Dedication to be great.
My consistency.
Always being available.
Loving what I do.
And my motivation to strive for excellence.
