Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Sifuentes.
Hi Daniela, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have loved Photography since I was 8 years old, my uncle owned a Studio in Monterrey, Mexico and I loved seeing him work. When I moved to the US I started taking Photography classes in High School and it was a wonderful dream, it just made me fall in love more with Photography, I learned to develop film in dark rooms, so it just felt like magic happening in front of my eyes.
I ended up graduating from The University of Houston in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Art. And I started my own business at the age of 25.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I feel that what helped me the most in my business was my love for photography, my Customer Service skills from past jobs, and wanting to share other’s stories. There are always some obstacles, but it helps a lot if you take it one day at a time and you will see the growth.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I see my Photography as Art, my clients hire me to capture portraits of their loved ones, maternity, children, I also do a few weddings per year. I am known for loving all of the photographs I take at my sessions, and this helps clients have a wide variety of shots in their gallery. I am proud of the relationships I’ve built over the years with clients and colleagues.
What sets me apart from others can be that my art is very organic and the ethereal vintage style I want to portray, each photograph tells my client’s story.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
As a Christian I would say I have been very blessed, I have grown a lot in these 16 years of business, and I am proud of how I’ve gotten where I am.
