At an early age, Dr. German Newall discovered his passion for the practice of medicine. He was born and raised in Lima, Peru, but traveled to the United States as a young man to pursue his dream of becoming a physician. After graduating from Georgetown Medical School, Dr. Newall received general surgery training in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed plastic surgery training here in Houston, Texas. He knew immediately that he wanted to make Houston his permanent home.

Dr. German Newall is a highly accomplished board-certified plastic surgeon and founding partner of The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery in Houston, Texas, celebrated for his significant contributions to the field of aesthetic surgery.

In my journey from Peru to the United States to pursue a career in plastic surgery, I faced numerous challenges that shaped my path. Adapting to a new culture and social norms was difficult, especially while overcoming a language barrier that made communication in a medical context challenging. Leaving my family behind created feelings of isolation and emotional strain, and the financial burden of establishing a new life—covering education and living expenses—was significant. Navigating the intricacies of the U.S. healthcare system required considerable effort, and gaining respect in such a competitive field as an immigrant was no easy feat. Throughout this journey, balancing my professional aspirations with personal challenges demanded resilience and determination. Ultimately, these experiences have not only shaped me as a surgeon but also fueled my commitment to excellence in my field.

Dr. Newall’s extensive training included unique opportunities to work alongside the inventors of breast implants and the first surgeon to perform liposuction in the U.S., which significantly shaped his understanding and approach to aesthetic procedures. As an assistant clinical professor of plastic surgery, he has contributed to the education of future surgeons while actively participating in three breast implant research teams, reflecting his dedication to advancing surgical techniques and patient safety. His innovative mindset led him to develop groundbreaking techniques, such as the BBL Roller Pump technique, which enhances recovery and results for patients. This combination of rigorous education and pioneering experience has established Dr. Newall as a leader in the field of plastic surgery, consistently striving to push the boundaries of what is possible in aesthetic medicine.

Dr. Newall has been happily married since 1988 and is the father of three wonderful children. When not performing surgery or visiting with patients, Dr. Newall enjoys precious time with his family, especially his 3 grandchildren. He also loves spending time swimming, playing tennis, and riding his Paso Peruvian horses.
