Hi Elise, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Minks By Elise began after I became a stay at home mom and just scolling social media, I came across one lash video that drew me in so much so I watched it 5 times before going through others and almost instantly fell in love with the art of applying lash extensions. I then proceeded to become a certified lash technician in which laid the foundation for Minks By Elise. I still to this day find lashing to be my peace.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, being a beginner lash technician like many others it seems difficult to gain the clients, you have to perfect your craft and still show your progress to gain clientele which can be scary. Nonetheless, I hung in there, posted everyday, gave free and discounted sets, and more to gain good, loyal clients.

I wear many different hats,aside from being a mother, I am a versatile lash artist specializing in dark, fluffy and wispy sets. I am a tax professional building my tax business to become a service bureau and sell my own software. I also own a black owned beauty supply Majestic Hair & Accessories where we have virgin human hair wigs, bundles, organic black soap, organic sugar scrub and so much more. I’m most proud of my growth in being successful, with God, my support system and determination there’s no limits to how far myself and my family are going.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have so much support, I was able to start my lash business and get all I needed to be successful for the first 6 months thanks to the love of my life. My oldest daughter has been my muse since the beginning and has always allowed me to practice on her and showcase different lash looks till this day. I’m extremely grateful.
