Hi Elizabeth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Since I was young, I always wanted to start my own business. I’ve sold Avon, Cutco knives, Advocare, and I enjoyed the ability to work for myself and be my own boss. Once I started having kids (6 kids, but who is counting lol), I needed a career and a stable income, so my dreams paused. Now that my kids are older, I can focus on my goals again. The idea came to me when I started planning my daughter’s Quinceanera. I realized there is so much money in the party rental business. I needed to make a passive income that would allow me to continue working my full-time job. As I continued to plan my daughter’s Quinceanera, I discovered the Photo Booth Rental business. Kids and adults love Photo Booths! From that moment, I prayed and talked to my husband about my goals and dreams. He supported me, and we took that leap of faith and invested in a Photo Booth. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think investing time and money is the biggest struggle. When you don’t see money coming in but continue to see money being spent can be a substantial financial burden. However, we are still relatively new in the business, and success doesn’t come overnight. With consistency, dedication excellent customer service, our business will succeed successfully in the near future. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
My husband and I have a career in law enforcement. I have been in law enforcement for 14 years. I own a Photo Booth Rental business called Sweetie Pie Rental. With our Photo Booth, you can digitally download unlimited pictures through text messages, airdrops, or QR codes. Making it super affordable and easy. Our clients receive the gallery at the end of the event. We have assorted backdrops, including our beautiful flower wall and various fun and funky props. We also have the “red carpet experience,” making the Photo Booth experience fun! We aim to expand the business by renting tables, chairs, and tents in the future. 

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice to anyone who is starting out is I know exactly how you may feel. The thought of starting your own business is scary. The unknown or the thought of failure is scary, but you won’t know if you will succeed if you never start in the first place. Do it! Just Do it! You won’t regret it. Give yourself time and be patient; everything comes within time. Hard work, dedication, and consistency come with excellent success! This is your sign!
