Daily Inspiration: Meet Georgena M of Poxy Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Georgena M,.

Hi Georgena, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with Poxy Rose began as a search for something more soul-filled than the ‘mass-produced meh’ of the modern world. I’ve always been drawn to the idea of ‘worn-in beauty’—pieces that feel like they have an old-soul energy and a story to tell.

Living and creating in Texas, I started working with resin because of its unique ability to capture light, color, and memory. What began as a personal creative outlet evolved into a mission to create for the ‘soft-hearted weirdos’—the people who celebrate imperfections and want their belongings to reflect their bold, soulful selves.

Today, Poxy Rose is defined by the ‘Messy Magick.’ Every piece is hand-poured with premium pigments and a lot of heart. Whether it’s an aesthetic nurse badge reel or a custom stationery set, my goal is to prove that imperfection is a luxury. I’ve grown from a solo maker into a community builder, even launching a ‘Maker Spotlight’ to help other artists share their journeys. I’m proud to say that every treasure that leaves my studio is heart-made, never machine-made.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth, bubble-free road! One of the biggest challenges in working with resin is the ‘learning curve of the pour.’ Resin is a fickle medium—temperature, humidity, and even the slightest imbalance in mixing can ruin a piece I’ve worked on for hours. In the beginning, there were many ‘messy’ moments where things didn’t go to plan, but I eventually learned to embrace those imperfections as part of the ‘Messy Magick’ that defines my brand today.

Beyond the technical side, the biggest hurdle was the transition from being a ‘maker’ to being a ‘business owner.’ Learning how to navigate social media algorithms, manage logistics, and stand out in a world of mass production while staying true to my ‘heart-made’ philosophy took a lot of trial and error. I had to learn that it’s okay not to appeal to everyone—I’m not for the masses; I’m for the ‘soft-hearted weirdos’ who find beauty in the unconventional. Overcoming the fear of being ‘too niche’ was ultimately what allowed Poxy Rose to truly bloom.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a resin artist and the founder of Poxy Rose, where I specialize in creating ‘hand-poured treasures for soft-hearted weirdos.’ My work ranges from functional art like aesthetic nurse badge reels and custom stationery sets to artisan statement jewelry and home décor. I’m best known for my ‘Messy Magick’—a style that embraces bold pigments, heavy glitter, and the beautiful imperfections that only come from handmade art.

What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built around the idea that ‘imperfection is a luxury.’ In a world dominated by mass-produced, machine-made items, I’ve stayed committed to a heart-made process. I even launched a ‘Maker Spotlight’ on my platform to share the stage with other creatives, because I believe in connection over competition.

What truly sets me apart is the ‘old soul energy’ I pour into every piece. I don’t just make products; I make ‘worn-in’ treasures that feel like they already have a story to tell. When someone buys from Poxy Rose, they isn’t just getting resin and glitter—they’re getting a piece of art designed to make them feel bold, soulful, and seen

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is authentic connection through creativity. In a world that is increasingly automated and fast-paced, I believe there is a profound need for things that feel ‘human.’ This is why I lead with a ‘heart-made’ philosophy. To me, it’s not just about selling a resin tray or a pair of earrings; it’s about the exchange of energy between the maker and the collector. I want the ‘soft-hearted weirdos’ of the world to feel seen and celebrated through my work.

I also place a high value on community over competition. This is why I started the ‘Maker Spotlight’ on my website—to use my platform to lift up other artists. I believe that when we share our stories and our ‘messy magick,’ we give others permission to be their most authentic selves, too. At the end of the day, what matters isn’t perfection; it’s the courage to bloom loudly and the connections we make along the way.
