Today we’d like to introduce you to Inez Jarmon.
Hi Inez, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My passion for events began around 2015, when I suffered the loss of the 3rd child I was carrying. The anticipation of awaiting a successful pregnancy of a first child began me looking into what kind of baby shower I wanted to have. Being optimistic, it was my way of encouraging myself, & keeping my faith in God, that one day I would get a chance to be a mother. As I started to research more event themes, while still trying to conceive a child, the more and more I began to be obsessed with all of the functions & details that consisted of planning an event. That’s when I realized I’d found my purpose through my pain! Not knowing where to began, no clients, no experience, my mind was made, this was the field for me. With the courage of a close friend, I was finally convinced to go into business for myself in 2017. From then my career took off, & I’m here today, thriving as UN Matchable Gemz Events. I began designing chip bags in Microsoft word. When I mastered that program, I took a Photoshop Course to strengthen my graphic designing skills. I also began designing small baby showers in my immediate community of LaMarque Tx, to showcase my dual talent as an event designer as well.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing came easy with this dream of mine. Starting with zero clients, & a heart full passion, I assumed naturally my family and friends would be my source of support, but quickly realized that it was no one else’s dream but my own, which mean “I”-Nez had to support & believe in myself first before I could expect anyone else to. (But not to discredit all of the wonderful women that supported & encouraged me along the way.) That mentality is what I have to thank for my longevity in this very competitive industry.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a dual talented graphic designer, as well as an event designer. The name says it all, I AM UN Matchable! I don’t try to blend, imitate, or fit in with the crowd. There are so many other amazing designers out there, so I do my best to stay in my own lane, & set myself apart for my desired clientele.
What’s next?
Expansion! I have a lot of new projects, & products that I’ll be releasing in the upcoming months that I can’t wait to share with the world!
