Today we’d like to introduce you to Jarmal Burton
Hi Jarmal, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and Raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I’ve always been a goofy kid loved to do varies voices. In High School shoutout to John F. Kennedy High School I called Forrest Gump because I could talk like him. Crazy thing is some of my old classmates thought that was my real name LOL… I got into comedy 12 years ago thru my lil cousin Ryan Burton and it took off from there he put me in the position I’m in I’ve been blessed to work with some awesome comedians throughout my career and been able to do a bunch of things throughout this journey.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No it hasn’t been a smooth road in this business but it’s gonna be ruff and it’s a learning curve you have to go thru because Comedy is a art and you can be funny with your family and friends but on stage it’s a different animal.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a comedian/actor/director/writer/Podcaster I’m very proud of everything I’ve accomplished so far but I still have alot of work to do. What sets me apart is my work ethic and dedication to the Art I love everything about what I do and I do it with passion.
How do you think about happiness?
I’m a naturally happy person but what truly makes me happy is my kids my daughter Jayla who is attending college next year and my son Carter who is attending High School next year they absolutely make me the happiest.
