Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason McCourt.
Hi Jason, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
3 business partners, competitive bodybuilders. One had a dream to build a gym that we would consider a dream gym. High-end clean with an attractive building and the best selection of strength training equipment available.
We have been training partners for years, and Matt finally talked us into it. We have gone through this step-by-step, from finding a piece of land to designing the facility to hand-selecting each piece of equipment for its efficacy and ergonomics.
Numerous hurdles have popped up, but we continue to find a resolution.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, we identified a piece of land, but the seller would not entertain talking with us, so we got a broker who found someone to buy the entire lot and sell us what we need. That is an entire story (still writing itself) at this time.
Permitting, club management software intricacies, documents lost in the mail that were time-sensitive, late nights working on design, process, etc. All three of us have regular jobs; this is our passion project, and his a huge commitment.

All three partners have found success in Sales roles: Employee Benefits, IT/Software, and Oil & Gas.
We are all also competitive bodybuilders, which is our hobby and the driving force behind this fitness facility.
What do you think about happiness?
We all love to train (weights etc.) and enjoy visiting different fitness facilities because there is an experience that goes beyond the physical act itself. The fitness community is awesome and very supportive of each other, enabling us to make new friends anywhere we go.
