Today we’d like to introduce you to Kalorin Suetrong.

Kalorin Suetrong

Hi Kalorin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.

Hi! I’m Kalorin. I’m a single mother of three beautiful children and a self taught entrepreneur. I was born and raised in the scenic Southern California valley of Woodland Hills, but rooted in my Thai culture thanks to my grandmother, Khun Yai Lawan. I started my journey of pursuing my dreams of being a singer at the age of fourteen.

Growing up with a single mother in modest circumstances, I witnessed firsthand the determination and resilience required to carve out one’s own path. Inspired by my mother’s dedication and motivated by the desire for a different life, I made the bold decision to leave home at a young age and pursue a career in singing and acting in the captivating city of Bangkok, Thailand.

I left the nest and moved abroad to Thailand to pursue this dream with GMM GRAMMY Thailand. Fueled by my passion for music and nurtured by the unwavering support of my grandmother, who has been the cornerstone of my success, I embarked on a path that led me to where I am today.

I’ve always believed in the serendipitous nature of life, where opportunities manifest at precisely the right moment. Reflecting back, I think my courageous heart has propelled me to places beyond my wildest dreams. I think that’s the beauty of life—constantly moving toward what truly resonates with my purpose.

In 2015, I founded SocialMar Club, a boutique marketing agency that has become a sanctuary for dreamers brimming with passion and drive. Central to my ethos is the profound belief in the power of human connection and the transformative magic that occurs when individuals unite to pursue their unique endeavors. Driven by a desire for financial independence and personal fulfillment, I ventured into the realm of marketing.

I was armed with determination and fueled by so much love and ambition, I immersed myself in the intricacies of marketing, reaching out to brands via cold email campaigns. I probably sent 50 to 100 emails before I’d get 2-3 leads. Through perseverance and dedication, I secured my first gig as a content creator for esteemed brands such as Uppababy and Parasol Co. Little did I anticipate that these humble beginnings would pave the way for collaborations with renowned companies like BOKA (first company exit in 2022), ALO Yoga, Zitsticka, Act & Acre, Avocado Green, and many many more.

My journey through the multifaceted landscape of marketing has underscored the importance of fostering genuine connections between consumers and brands. From influencer marketing to strategic partnerships and PR, I organically bridged the gap between customers and brands, cultivating authentic relationships in the ever-evolving direct-to-consumer space.

I am a firm believer of being a student and remaining steadfast in my commitment to continuous growth and exploration; there is always more to learn, experience, and discover. It is through this lens of gratitude and curiosity that I stand by that has taken me to new heights each and every day.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

My journey was far from smooth sailing. At times, I felt isolated. Yet, with each set back, I found myself bolstered with newfound determination to keep going. Growing up under the care of a single mother meant our time together was limited. Determined to create a different reality for my own children, I resolved to forge a career that would afford me the luxury of time and the flexibility to work from home.. Or anywhere in the world.

It was undeniably challenging. Motherhood, with all its demands, instilled in me a strength to push beyond my perceived limitations and embrace the discomfort.

I was burned in business, but within this setback lay a profound lesson—a valuable asset that would guide me throughout my life’s journey. It was through this adversity that I crossed paths with the founder of BOKA, who generously took me under his wing, imparting invaluable wisdom that shapes me to this day.

In retrospect, every setback served as a springboard for growth. For that, I am profoundly grateful.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

Among my most esteemed accomplishments is our work with BOKA; as a grassroot member who wore many hats during its early stages, I’m proud to watch its growth and witness its acquisition in early 2021.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?

My grandmother and mother have always been the two biggest cheerleaders in my life. They have been my strength and light since I was a little girl. Whether I wanted to golf, sing, or become a mother, their advice remained consistent: dress the part and show up; give it your all, own it. Want to be a mother? give birth naturally—feel your way through it all. Otherwise, what’s the point?
