Daily Inspiration: Meet Kerizma Clark

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kerizma Clark.

Hi Kerizma, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I first became a content creator back in 2022 when I found UGC. I saw people talking about it online, decided to give it a try, and I ended up securing my first client in my first week. Because I became successful really fast, I was able to quit my job just a few weeks later and have UGC brand deals support me full-time. And then, because I was making money online doing content creation, I realized that I had the flexibility now to travel. So a few months later, after starting UGC, I booked a one-way ticket to Dubai. I planned to only stay there for a month, but I ended up staying abroad for 10 months straight, and I traveled to Dubai, Greece, I went to Portugal, Paris, Thailand, Bali. I went all across the world, and that’s how I started creating travel content. What was just an experiment or something wild that I wanted to do to interrupt my daily routine became an entire career for me, and I had no idea.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’d say the hardest part about it all has been creating systems in the business or the business part. Content creation comes really naturally to me. I’m really good at it, but I never went to business school, so I essentially had to learn how to be an entrepreneur, be my own boss, manage my own time, nurture my clients and the brands that I work with, learn all the backend systems, and do my taxes as a self-employed person. None of that was easy. But it was all necessary because as a content creator, I am a business owner, and there are additional skill sets you have to learn as a business owner, aside from the skill set that you have as the service you’re providing. Another hard part is making money with such ease. I went from making $18 an hour working as a Verizon rep, and then I went from earning thousands of dollars for videos that I make with my phone in my house. So it’s definitely a big mindset shift when it comes to money and what you get to have and what you get to allow in your life. It’s really a lot of identity shifting that you have to go through.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a travel content creator. I create content to inspire people to travel, see new destinations, and experience freedom outside of their safe bubble. I am most proud of the quality of my work. My work is really crisp, and it’s high quality, and there’s also a lot of storytelling elements to it as well. And what sets me apart from others is probably the fact that I blend travel into personal development and other niches. So I don’t just talk about travel 24/7, but I integrate it into my real life.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I would describe myself as a personal development junkie. I love all things mindset and anything that increases personal growth. The podcast or books, or even YouTube channels that have helped me are ones that are focused on mindset and energetics, and that has really helped me as a content creator in this career.
