Daily Inspiration: Meet Kuron Franklin and Tony Jenkins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kuron Franklin and Tony Jenkins.

Hi Kuron and Tony, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started with an idea that turned into a vision. As kids, we played on the same basketball team for years & reconnected almost a decade later at fitness connection. It was almost as if destiny was involved, the way we would run into one other at the gym. Each discussion was something new about what we had been through & it was effortless every time. King K then mentioned, “We should do a podcast!”. Shortly after, we were having weekly meetings at King K’s mom’s house, turned on the camera & the rest is history.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, far from it. One of the biggest challenges has been connecting around everyone’s schedule, because having multiple parties involved for each episode, requires a certain level of management. Also, in the early stages of Down2Talk, we experimented with our content, causing a bit of confusion on who we wanted our audience to be.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As content creators on YouTube, our channel is centered around “Changing the world, One conversation at a time”. We specialize in sharing our testimonies & talents with the world in an attempt to encourage others to do the same. We’re most proud of the memories we create collaborating with our special guests, which have an impact on them, as well as us. Our platform allows the unique opportunity to share a positive message versus derogatory slander. Think Oprah meets 106 & Park, that’s us!

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The easiest form of communication would be through direct message on Instagram (@Down_2Talk) or our email (down2talkpodcast@gmail.com). Also, subscribe to our YouTube channel (Down2Talk?).
