Today we’d like to introduce you to Lainie Maroulis.
Hi Lainie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I never imagined that picking up a camera would completely change the direction of my life. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion, and over time that passion turned into a career. I spent countless hours learning, practicing, and pushing myself creatively, and each opportunity helped me grow both as a photographer and as a person. Today, I’m grateful that I get to tell stories through my work and capture moments that connect people. By saying yes to every opportunity that came my way, I’ve been able to experience things I never imagined
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road, and there were plenty of long days, self-doubt, and moments where I questioned if I was on the right path. But it never truly felt hard because I genuinely loved what I was doing. Every challenge was another opportunity to learn, improve, and grow. Looking back, those moments made every opportunity that followed even more rewarding.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a sports photographer who loves capturing authentic moments and genuine emotion. What I’m most proud of is having the opportunity to work with the Houston Texans. It’s something I never imagined when I first picked up a camera, and it reminds me that hard work and saying yes to opportunities can take you further than you ever expected. I think what sets me apart is the relationships I build with people and my commitment to always giving my best!
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Without a doubt, my favorite childhood memories are my family vacations. Whether we were exploring somewhere new or simply spending time together, those trips are some of the moments I cherish most. They gave me a love for adventure and created memories I’ll always remember!
