Daily Inspiration: Meet Lisa Hasha

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Hasha.

Lisa Hasha

Hi Lisa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Wild Stem started during a pretty messy chapter of my life. In 2021, I went through a rough divorce, quit my 13-year career, sold my house, and moved into a tiny home on my ex-in law’s property with no real plan other than figuring out how to start over. Flowers became my creative outlet, something steady when everything else felt like it was falling apart. But honestly, flowers have always been around. I grew up hanging out at my grandma’s flower shop, sitting in the back watching Sesame Street while she worked. I didn’t realize it then, but I guess it stuck.
The real spark came in 2018 when I designed florals for a family member’s wedding at Palo Duro Canyon. It was my first time ever doing wedding flowers, I had no idea what I was doing and it somehow ended up being published.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not even a little. I couldn’t find anyone willing to hire me at first, so in my mid-30s I packed it up and took a job in Dripping Springs. I went from knowing basically nothing to being dropped straight into peak wedding season at a company doing 6–8 weddings every weekend. It was intense, humbling, and the fastest education I could’ve asked for. When I came back to the Houston area, breaking in was a whole different challenge. It’s a tough market, and a lot of it comes down to who you know. I didn’t have the right connections – just experience, work ethic, and a very stubborn belief that I’d figure it out anyway.
It definitely wasn’t smooth, but every hard season sharpened me. I learned how to move fast, problem-solve under pressure, and build something without shortcuts.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Wild Stem is an event styling and floral design studio specializing in weddings and experiential events. I come from a background in interior design and have always made art, whether that was painting murals, faux finishes, or turning garage sale finds and “trash” into something beautiful. Flowers just became my latest muse. I work with both fresh and silk florals, which lets me create big, impactful designs while staying flexible with budgets and logistics. I’m known for bold, textural, intentional arrangements and for making the impossible happen.
What sets Wild Stem apart is creativity without rules. I approach every event with resourcefulness, an eye for detail, and a little bit of magic, so every design truly feels personal. I’m proud to have built a brand that reflects my vision, instincts, and love for creating art in every form.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can work with me by booking a wedding or event consultation — I love bringing bold, intentional ideas to life. My husband and I also run a wine bar and floral shop in Montgomery, Two Lips to Tulips, where you can grab flowers, enjoy a glass of Italian wine, or just soak up the vibes. Following, sharing, or stopping by is the best way to support Wild Stem and keep the flowers flowing.
