Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Hollywood
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my account to help others in my situation. I was a teacher for 9 years when I decided to stay home with my boys. I wanted to share my experience to others who might be going through the same transition as me.
I thought it would be fun to share things I learned transitioning from a two income house to one. So when I found deals, or hacks or ways to save I shared with my followers.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Yes and no. I learned to use Instagram as a tool to help me save money. I started to follow some big creators who taught me a lot! I learned that there were so many different avenues on how to save money.
I started to post and say.. if I can help just one person on one of my deals, then I am doing something right! I’m very fortunate to be able to be home with my family and do what what I love. Helping people save money and to give back to my community.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I create content to help my followers save money, find amazing deals and hopefully spread a little bit of joy with my silly mom content.
I have worked with Stuff the Sleigh and toy donation groups locally the last couple years. Stuff the Sleigh holds a special place in my heart. They are an amazing local organization that helps children with cancer. Donating toys and gifts to these kiddos is the least I can do to spread a little bit of joy in their lives.
My proudest accomplishment is the work I do for the local schools. Being a former teacher, I understand the financial burden of having to fund your own classroom’s for essentials due to lack of funding.
I have worked with local stores to help secure donations and resources for schools in my area.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I started this account to help out myself and my family save money and find deals.
This journey has brought me so much joy knowing that I am showing others that you can save money, even with the high inflation of our economy.
