Hi Rebecca, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey in skincare has always been guided by a deep love for helping others feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. Over ten years ago, I became a licensed esthetician and began what would become a truly fulfilling career. I spent nearly 12 wonderful years with a respected spa franchise, where I grew from esthetician to lead esthetician, spa manager, and ultimately director of esthetics. Those years were invaluable — they taught me not only the science and artistry of skincare but also the importance of connection, care, and creating meaningful experiences for every client.
Throughout my career, I had the joy of mentoring other estheticians, helping them refine their craft and discover their own passion for the industry. That experience became the foundation of how I approach my work today — with intention, warmth, and a genuine desire to see others flourish.
This year, I took a leap of faith and opened Graceful Skin Facial Studio, a dream that had been on my heart for quite some time. I wanted to create a space that felt personal yet refined — where every client is welcomed like an old friend and each treatment feels like an indulgent escape. Graceful Skin is built on the belief that skincare should be both transformative and nurturing — a balance of results-driven care and graceful relaxation.
It’s been an incredible first year filled with growth, gratitude, and beautiful connections. Watching my vision come to life — from familiar faces returning to new clients discovering the studio — has been such a gift. Graceful Skin Facial Studio is more than a business to me; it’s a reflection of everything I love about this industry — grace, beauty, and the confidence that comes from truly radiant skin.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to entrepreneurship is rarely smooth, but I’ve learned that every challenge is an opportunity to grow stronger. Starting my own business came with its share of hurdles — from balancing finances to making sure I had everything I needed to deliver the elevated experience my clients deserve. Yet even through the uncertainties, I’ve been surrounded by incredible support and opportunities that have helped Graceful Skin Facial Studio flourish.
One of my biggest blessings — and challenges — this year has been my pregnancy with my third child. While it hasn’t always been easy, it has given me an even deeper sense of purpose. My children are my greatest motivation; they remind me why I work so hard and why building this business matters. This journey has taught me that grace isn’t just part of my brand — it’s a mindset. It’s about moving through life’s seasons with strength, gratitude, and the belief that something beautiful is always unfolding.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a licensed esthetician with over a decade of experience specializing in advanced skincare and customized facial treatments. My work is deeply rooted in education — understanding the science of skin, the individuality of each complexion, and how overall wellness plays a role in our glow. Over the years, I’ve devoted myself to studying different skin types and conditions, allowing me to help clients navigate everything from acne and sensitivity to age-related changes with a thoughtful, results-driven approach.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built. There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching a client’s skin transform — but even more fulfilling is seeing their confidence evolve right along with it. I’ve created long-lasting relationships and a loyal clientele, and I consider that one of my greatest accomplishments. I’m also proud of the knowledge I’ve gained and continue to pursue; it’s important to me to not only help my clients, but also to mentor other estheticians as they grow in this beautiful industry.
What truly sets me apart is the experience I create. Yes, results matter — but so does how you feel during the journey. At Graceful Skin, every treatment is designed to be both transformative and deeply nurturing. My clients often tell me they can feel how much I care — that my touch is intentional, calming, and attentive to their whole wellbeing, not just their skin. My goal with every service is to have clients leave not only glowing, but grounded, renewed, and wrapped in a sense of grace.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was naturally on the quieter side — thoughtful, observant, and more comfortable listening than speaking. I wasn’t the first to raise my hand or step into the spotlight, yet somehow I always found myself in positions of leadership. Whether it was school organizations or team activities, I was often chosen to guide and support others, even when I didn’t seek it out. Looking back, those moments were shaping me long before I realized it.
I always had a nurturing heart and a desire to care for others, even before I knew what that would look like in my future. I knew I wanted to make people feel seen, supported, and confident. When I discovered skincare, everything clicked. It gave me the perfect balance — the ability to lean into my calm, reserved nature while still leading, educating, and making a meaningful impact.
That mix of quiet strength and genuine care has followed me throughout my life, and it’s become the foundation of who I am as a business owner and esthetician today.
