Today we’d like to introduce you to Renaldo Henry.
Hi Renaldo, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m from Trinidad and Tobago moved to Austin, TX in 2009 to pursue my career as a music producer with my group first class fresh we got our first shot working with Universal records for a short stint when that didn’t work out we switched to going the independent route which ultimately forced us to move to Houston, TX. Things didn’t work out with us as a group due to business reasons so I decided to take the route of becoming a solo artist which for the first 4 years dealt with alot of depression and wondering if I ever wanted to do this again. I spent 2 years in Hawaii from 2017-2019 where my passion for music grew back and here I am now releasing my 4th edition of my series dinnertime. I plan on doing the best I can to become a household name.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road From managers not making decisions that’s of the best interest of you as a artist to bad contracts to even not collectively as a group coming up with a goal. Money is also always a problem with anything you do. You have to get djs and radio stations on board with you vision and that in itself is difficult.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a music recording artist I specialize in rap/hip-hop and rnb music. I’m known for my vocals.
What I’m most proud of is being able to get back on stage after being absent for as long.
What sets me apart from others is the fact that I’ve been exposed to different genres of music because of where I was born and raised.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is Trinidad and Tobago making the fifa world cup in 2006.
