Today we’d like to introduce you to Rose Flores.
Hi Rose, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Rosa Flores, I’m from El Salvador and married a wonderful husband from Colombia. (He is my helper the driver and delivery of Fabuloons). We have a beautiful daughter named Sofia, she is my inspiration and motivation.
In 2019, I started looking into birthday inspired ideas after celebrating my daughter’s birthday. The more I researched the more I was fascinated with balloons. I knew then I wanted to invest in balloons.
In 2020, I felt the need for a change. I was working a full-time job and hardly ever spending time with my daughter. I knew that I needed money to pay bills, but I also needed money to invest in my balloon dream. Therefore, I took a three-night job and took care of my daughter, and during the day on my free time, I was practicing balloons.
I decided to take my dream to another level. I took a beginner balloon class and practiced on my free time. I began to do family and friends’ events, this helped me to improve my skills and gain confidence in my creations.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth ride! There have been days that I only slept for three hrs. Especially if I have an event or a balloon bouquet to do! Working with balloons requires a lot practicing and patience. Balloon twisting has been a challenging task, it took me three months to learn how to do a balloon distortion flower. I have practiced every day and wasted many bags of balloons until I finally got it right. I’m very passionate about my work and love to see the outcome of every creation! The best part of all is to surprise my client.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I fondly remember my grandmother’s words she used to tell me, “If you have something to do today! Don’t let it wait around and go at head and do it! Tomorrow is a new day, and you can accomplish more”. I believe with all my heart that my business is going to fulfill all my dreams.
