Today we’d like to introduce you to Sal Soriano.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Sal. I am the founder of SSchicagomusic LLC. Also, I am the CEO, President, and the main performing/recording artist on the label. I have been in the industry (professionally) for a little under 6 years. Within my time, I have made great progress from creating music, writing, co-producing, directing videos, interviews, and live performances. I have been active in the states of Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Missouri. Including anything from live performances, video shoots, radio play and live establishment plays (clubs, bars, venues, weddings, gentlemen clubs, etc.). I have opened for many artists from local legends to platinum-recognized entities/artists. I headline my own shows as well as perform for other shows/artists/venues.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has never been a smooth road. Growing up from a single-family home and working full time since the age of 14, I have never had the blessing of being able to work for my passions or interests. Necessity was always the front-runner in my life. Once I had the capability to sustain and maintain, I turned ruthless with my mission and passion.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I have always been my own entity. I never had the love and support from other people to pursue my ambitions. I used that to my advantage to light a fire from up under me in order to be successful in my own life and this industry. I still work 60+ hours a week till this day!
How do you think about luck?
I have found that being honest and straightforward in any aspect of life will always be more beneficial than any other tactic
