Daily Inspiration: Meet Samira Elise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samira Elise.

Hi Samira, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Everyone has a story to tell, but people only want to listen to the winners. Creating my own designer purse cleaning business at the age of 10 years old, “Wow! Just Like Nu”, was just the start of being a boss. I’ve always had a passion for beauty, luxury and style. Looking up to my mom as a successful cosmetologist, I knew I wanted to be more. I want to be the first member in my family to make seven figures. How can I accomplish that? Start by believing your dream will shift into your reality.

Fast forward now, I’m the CEO and Creator of NuNucleus Cosmetics LLC at the age of 21. NuNucleus Cosmetics prides it’s self on authenticity, creativity, affordability, accountability and professionalism before, during and after any service. We showcase your outer beauty from within by the holistic practices of aromatherapy, study of esthetics and lifestyle. I offer services that are gravitated to clients comfortable in their natural skin, such as: Eyebrow Laminations, Body Sugaring, Wax On Wax Off and #Goggles ! And, clients who want to step outside their comfort zone with Specialty Glam, Acceleration Strips & Lashes and The Nu Experience.
All affordable services range from facials, hair removal, makeup application and makeup enhancements.

As I progress in my esthetician career, I want to let others know it’s okay to not play it safe! Take the risk. It will all be worth the risk!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Outside of 610, the freeway of 67 to I35 merging onto I30 towards Texarkana in Dallas, is overwhelming chaotic and constructive. The road has not been easy. There isn’t any construction here, ironically. The biggest struggle for me is commuting back and forth between my 9 to 5 and my own private studio. I have a 17 year old car that constantly has to have maintenance on. I’m grateful for her for getting me to point A to point B, especially during the current state we live in. Though, I’ll be ready and appreciative for a new change. Sometimes you have to invest into your business before your business can invest into you.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Being a licensed esthetician, I offer a wide variety of services. Mostly specializing in makeup application, lashes and eyebrow services. Though, I’ll dive into the most common familiarity…Makeup Application! A lot of people think applying makeup to the skin is easy, which is debatable, however each practice has to have a study. I didn’t go to school for 9 months, complete 750 state required hours, take 2 different test and pay a fee, for NOTHING! L O L , I put in the work to let my clients know the importance of color theory, understanding facial structures, design and element techniques, and much much more. My field is a continuing education growing industry, so with the passion of art and science, you’re more than likely to becoming successful. At the end of the day, your path may not be my path. Remember, it’s all about believing.
