Daily Inspiration: Meet Sauce Samurai

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sauce Samurai

Hi Sauce, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started making beats when I was 13 ,making music and selling cds and beats by the time I was in the 10th grade. Around 2015 I did a session in a studio in the Southside of Houston (Dead end) & met Jrag2x he was the sole producer for sauce walka at the time and he wanted to work. I play guitar , piano ,trumpet & bass. 2015 go fully fledged into music working weeks at a time going from the studio to a hotel to take a shower & back & my production begins to get traction. Next thing you know I have credits with Travis Scott ,Trippie Redd Asap Rocky Wiz Khalifa. I start my mobile recording business 2022 & Now 2024 open my own studio along with Jrag2x as my business partner Gotham City Studios.Located in Missouri City it is a 3 room recording studio & full barbershop thru the grace of god I’ve been able to provide for myself and my family with my craft & hope to keep doing so always reaching more & more milestones.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being first generation Hispanic I come from humble beginnings. A lower income home didn’t make me feel like I was missing out it made me go harder because I saw how much work my parents put in to give my siblings and I a better life. As a producer/engineer I had to prove myself & put in countless sleepless nights in the studio to gain accolades & footing in the rap game & there’s only so much you can say , you gotta make sure your work can do the talking.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am sauce samurai super producer I am know for my sampling of records straight from vynil ,owning my new Recording Studio / Barbershop Gotham City Studios. I know for my banging 808s & my producer tag (SAMURAI!!) because when you hear it you know it’s lit. Favorite songs I’ve produced are Where you was at by Sauce Walka , Drive to Memphis by Sosamann. I’m most proud of my growth and a producer & achieving a milestone of mine , owning my own recording studio. What sets me apart is that I have an ear for music I play a multitude of instruments & produce all types of music from down south rap, Christian rap , reggaeton & Spanish corridos.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
