Daily Inspiration: Meet Saurab Bhatia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saurab Bhatia.

Hi Saurab, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up eating Singas in New York. For me being in Texas for almost 12 years, and whenever I went to New York for work, I’d bring 10-12 half-cooked frozen pizzas back with me. That same half-cooked option will now be available to local customers as well, allowing guests to take pies home and finish them in their own ovens. This unique touch is a standard offering for the brand and surely will be loved by Houstonians as well.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not been a smooth road. Took me a year and 1/2 to get setup, with all the rules from the city, it took a while to get started. We have acquired the place back in April 2024 but could startup until November 2025. It been a bumpy road but hoping it goes well from here

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

Community Roots: Staying grounded through local business ownership and supporting the diverse Desi and local families across Harris and Fort Bend Counties.

I bridge the gap between cutting-edge global technology and grassroots community impact.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is creating a meaningful impact through connection.

Why it matters
Whether I am leading a technical team or running a local business, my focus is on how my work benefits the people around me. This manifests in two ways:

In Technology: I value building AI solutions that don’t just innovate for the sake of tech, but actually solve real-world problems and empower teams to work more effectively.

In Community: Through Singas Famous Pizza, I value providing a space for families to gather and creating local jobs.

Ultimately, I am driven by the responsibility to contribute to the growth of both the community and the broader Katy/Harris County area. I believe technical success is most rewarding when it is balanced with grassroots community involvement.
