Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanel Frazier.
Hi Shanel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up, I always loved the camera. Whether fresh out of bed in the morning in rollers or messy hair, to fully dressed in my Sundays Best or school ready, I loved taking pictures. I always made sure I was neat and simply styled. Neutral colors were my go-to. Black, White, Beige, Gray, etc. were my favorite colors. My mom tried as much as she could to add color, but I just wanted simple with no fuss! My young adult life was amazing. I married the man of my dreams, Pastor Shannon Frazier and gave birth to two amazing boys, Seth and Josiah. As I worked year in and year out in ministry as the First Lady of the Abiding Faith Church in Baytown as well as in education, I dreamed of having my own business. Not just any business, but specifically a clothing boutique. Somewhere that I could share my style with others. My shopping experiences always consisted of trying to find simple dresses with pockets or matching sets (which are my favorite). I wasn’t always so blessed to succeed on that area. So, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, I decided to step out on faith, took a business class, and open my very own online boutique called ” Wealthy Woman’s Wardrobe” on September 12, 2020. Thinking of the name wasn’t hard because during the Fall of 2019, I hosted a Women’s Conference titled “Walking into Your Wealthy Place”. It is a faith-based conference design to prompt women to discover and embrace all that God has called us to be. So there my Brand was born. Being “WEALTHY” isn’t based on material riches, but being rich in character, being valuable, resourceful and having the ability to live the way that God has designed. I wanted to give women of all shapes and sizes a wardrobe to pick from that was classy and especially help saved women to understand and know that they can dress sexy and be saved at the same time without compromise. It’s all about being comfortable in your own skin. My boutique motto is Always Remember To Be Fabulous, Feminine, and Free!! I just celebrated my 2nd year in business and have moved into full-time entrepreneurship. I am beyond excited to see what the future holds for this Wealthy Woman!!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Opening the boutique was easy; however, maintaining it has had its challenges. From trial and error, over-purchasing, working as a one-man band and not being prepared for everything, to popular opinion, unsolicited advice, and an array of normal human behavior, it has been difficult to say the least!!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a creative and a coordinator by heart and purpose. I love to encourage others and help them through difficult periods in their lives or just helping people solve simple problems. I often think of the small things that make the biggest difference and ask the simplest questions that will help bring about a better outcome.
How do you think about happiness?
Seeing everything come together after the struggle makes my heart sing and it brings me joy to see other happy and fulfilled. I enjoy service. Whether it’s serving my husband and boys on a daily basis making sure that they are cared for and nurtured to successfully planning an event. I love to see others smile and know that they feel joy and are appreciated and valued.
