Hi Sinisha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Kumanovo, North Macedonia, where my passion for painting began at an early age. After studying at the College of Applied Arts and graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, I dedicated myself to developing a visual language that combines classical painting techniques with symbolism and surreal elements.
My artistic journey has been shaped by years of quiet work in the studio, constant experimentation, and a desire to create paintings that invite reflection rather than provide simple answers. I believe art should engage the viewer emotionally and intellectually, revealing new meanings over time.
Over the years, my work has been exhibited internationally and recognized through exhibitions and competitions, including the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, MEAM Barcelona, and most recently the 17th/18th International ARC Salon exhibition at Sotheby’s New York.
Today, I continue to paint with the same curiosity that first inspired me as a young artist—seeking to create works that bridge technical mastery with timeless human questions.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. Like many artists, I spent years working without knowing if my paintings would ever reach an international audience. Building a career from a small country meant creating opportunities rather than waiting for them. Every exhibition, competition, and connection required persistence, patience, and belief in my work.
Rejection has also been part of the journey, but I have always seen it as motivation to improve rather than a reason to stop. Over time, I learned that success in art rarely comes overnight—it is built through consistency, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to your own vision.
Looking back, those challenges shaped me just as much as the achievements. They taught me to value the process as much as the recognition.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a figurative painter specializing in symbolic and surreal realism. My work is rooted in classical painting techniques, but the goal is not simply to represent reality—it is to explore the psychological and philosophical dimensions of the human experience.
I am best known for creating paintings that combine technical precision with layers of symbolism, inviting viewers to interpret each work in their own way. Faces, gestures, and carefully placed symbolic elements become visual metaphors rather than straightforward narratives.
What I am most proud of is staying true to my artistic vision throughout my career. Recognition through international exhibitions and awards is deeply meaningful, but the greatest achievement is creating work that resonates with people across different cultures.
I believe what sets my work apart is the balance between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary ideas. I strive to create paintings that are visually compelling at first glance, yet continue to reveal new meanings over time.

People can work with me in several ways, depending on the nature of the collaboration. I welcome opportunities with galleries, museums, curators, and cultural institutions interested in exhibiting my work or developing projects centered on contemporary figurative art.
