Skylines , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
About 4 years ago, me and my friends were hanging out in a Cleveland metro park smoking cannabis after a long day of hooping. While we were there talking smoking and laughing about how funny it would be if there was a clothing brand made for people like us . We were occasionally have a couple drinks but we’re a group of athletic people who enjoy smoking cannabis and hooping. So we set out to see who else was like us? Turns out there’s a ton of people in all professions such as the medical field, judicial systems, professional athletes , and many more blue collar workers that enjoy smoking cannabis yet they conceal that information due to of fear of backlash from society. Whether it’s their job or how their family or social group will view them for enjoying cannabis . So after two summers of traveling being able to connect with so many people from different walks of life we knew there was a unique market for an athletic cannabis inspired lifestyle clothing brand .We had an overlook on the city or park depending on where we went but we always enjoyed different skylines with cannabis after a long day. After some time, we agreed to take it major and thus Skylines Clothing was born. Small business BIG dreams. Our mission is to bring more awareness to the benefits of cannabis in all aspects of life, for everyone no matter the age.So with that being said, we became a family business and brought my fiancé and our five children in on the clothing brand business and gave them each a line to design and inherit. We are just getting started but we are committed to our slogan “Always Do More.” We want to positively, effectively and efficiently impact every community in every city by continuously expanding. By building a more inclusive community in every major and minor city possible.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No , we don’t expect it to be. We want to organically better the world and that’s never an easy task. We struggled with startup funds and orders . Getting the right message out there in words even was a challenge . Along with learning how to build a business and brand.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Personally as the CEO of Skylines Clothing, I wear my fair share of hats within the brand. I like to add my hand into everything in the brand from designs , down to suppliers we choose from. My favorite or specialty in the brand is building connections with our forever growing family and communities. Also designing creative unique clothing for everyone is definitely a highlight . I’m most proud of the social togetherness we bring because of the smiles, laughter and love we create it’s everything to us. We are never content with the minimum there’s always more we can do. What sets us apart is our unique niche, understanding of the buyer market we have and are building.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Absolutely, I owe a lot to the incredible people who’ve supported me along the way. My mentors such as former coaches, my parents, my inner circle have provided invaluable guidance, my supporters being family and friends and cheerleaders and even strangers we’ve met along our journey have always lifted me up during tough times, and my advocates have opened doors I never thought possible. My teammates have been the backbone of my success, constantly inspiring me to strive to become greater than I ever imagined possible . Their belief in me and their contributions have been instrumental in shaping the journey and skyrocketing achievements within the business and brand.
