Hi Sophia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I began my nail journey at the beginning of the pandemic. I began buying supplies from Amazon, practicing on myself, and my family members, and began getting more confident in my work! I started taking in a few clients, which was very hard at the time. I took a class with a home-based nail tech and felt even more motivated to grow in the industry!
My business took a year for me to get consistent clientele, the whole first year was very slow. I then began working busy schedules, taking in many clients, and learning the ins and outs of truly running your own business. Over the past 9 months or so, I began teaching classes, started an online course, worked with business mentors, partnered with companies, and focused more on content creation!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road! I was very discouraged in my first year of business as I was barely getting in clients. I kept consistently posting without a care about what people would think. One day a TikTok video of mine went viral and my phone was flooded with messages. Clients began booking, and business slowly took off!

I specialize in acrylic nail enhancements! I also specialize in my Beginner Acrylic Nail Training Courses! I love being able to teach others about my downfalls and successes. I am slowly getting more into the business and education side of the beauty industry!
We all have different ways of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I believe success is when you are able to say you are proud of yourself. So many people, including myself, have created so much for themselves and forget to pat themselves on their backs.
Success is when you are able to acknowledge your accomplishments and truly say you are proud of yourself! When you are content with what you have, show gratitude for what got you to where you are, and work on always elevating yourself!
