Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophia Valentina.
Hi Sophia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Sophia started hip hop dancing at 3 years old. She really enjoys it and is very good at it. Dancing is what really led her to wanting to make her own music. Music she could dance to. She wanted to dance to her own song. She wanted to perform her own music. She loves to sing and dance. It makes her happy and she loves to share that happiness and that energy with her friends and family.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a learning process for sure. It was all so new, and Sophia is so young. You have to remember she is not even in kindergarten yet, and doesn’t read. She can’t go into the studio and read the lyrics while she records like most artists do. She had to memorize her entire song within a 24-hour time span and go back into the studio to start recording. At only four, she is extremely smart, determined, and knows what she wants. She went into the studio and nailed it. She absolutely loves being in the studio recording. She spent about 5 months traveling back and forth between Houston and LA every few weeks to pursue her dreams and goals. Although traveling that much can be tough, She was always so happy to go to LA, to sing, dance, attend events, and visit her friends. She is following her dreams, and is able to accomplish them with the never-ending support of her parents.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Sophia is very talented. Aside from singing, she loves to dance. She trains in hip hop and is signed with MSA in LA. She also loves to tumble and does tumbling and gymnastics. She was doing back kickover and back handsprings at 3. She is currently at the gym 2-3 times a week.
She is also an Instagram influencer, where she does a lot of collabs with different brands.
She has been modeling since she was about 2 and a half and also enjoys attending red carpet events whenever she is in LA.
Sophia will be heading into the studio this week to start working on her next single also!
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see myself growing immensely. I am just getting started. I have so much to show the world! As I grow up, so will my music. I am excited to see where I am 5-10 years from now in the music industry!
