Daily Inspiration: Meet Surviving A Sagittarius Radio Show

Today we’d like to introduce you to Surviving A Sagittarius Radio Show.

Hi Surviving a Sagittarius , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Surviving a Sagittarius, also known as SAS Radio Show, was founded by Takiya Jarnagin, known in the media world as Jigalodeon. What started as casual conversations between her and her friends about their dating lives quickly revealed a funny coincidence—they were all dating Sagittarius men at the time. That shared experience sparked the original idea of turning their stories into a reality-style concept. However, as life happened and relationships didn’t last, the idea had to be put on pause.

A year or two later, Takiya found herself revisiting the brand with a clearer vision. This time, the story became more personal. Not only was she still with her partner, Jared Okona, but they discovered an interesting connection—both of their mothers shared the same zodiac birthday. That realization gave the concept more depth and direction, turning it into something rooted in real-life experiences.

She brought the idea to Jared, and together they began shaping what would eventually become a podcast. Like many creative journeys, getting started wasn’t easy. There were delays, moments of uncertainty, and time spent sitting on the idea. But everything shifted when an opportunity opened up with 953jamz for a new radio show.

After months of consideration, Takiya made it official. In December 2025, she announced the launch of Surviving a Sagittarius, which aired its very first episode on February 14, 2026.

Today, SAS has grown into a full team that brings the show to life each week on 953jamz. The voices behind the brand include Jigalodeon, JettBLK, Linda (LindasLookingGlass), and the energy that keeps everything moving, DJGOTTASTRUT.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Takiya always had the vision, but for a while, it felt incomplete. She knew she wanted a full show with four people, but figuring out who those voices would be—especially the right co-hosts alongside her and Jared—was a challenge.

She met Linda back in 2024, and the connection was instant, but they didn’t stay in close contact after that initial meeting. Because of that, there was some hesitation around reaching out. When they finally had the chance to collaborate later on, everything clicked. They realized they had so much in common—from their shared interest in zodiac conversations to the coincidence that Linda also has a Sagittarius mom. Even deeper than that, they found similarities in their personal growth journeys, including being in therapy, which created a genuine understanding between them.

Another missing piece was finding the right DJ. That part didn’t come easy either. But while helping source a DJ for a friend’s event, Takiya came across DJGOTTASTRUT. It turned out she would soon be relocating to Houston and, interestingly enough, shared that same zodiac connection. At that point, the vision finally felt complete.

Even then, there was still hesitation. Past experiences with trust and friendships made it difficult to open up and fully present the idea. But after taking time to build real connections, Takiya decided to take a leap of faith. She pitched the idea to Linda and DJGOTTASTRUT—and they were in.

Building a team to bring a vision to life isn’t easy. There were moments of uncertainty, hesitation, and waiting. But in the end, patience played a huge role in attracting the right people at the right time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What sets Surviving a Sagittarius apart is that while the team may share zodiac connections, each member is uniquely themselves and that individuality is the foundation of the show. They are all creatives in completely different ways, and when those talents come together it creates something distinct and dynamic.

DJGOTTASTRUT is the epitome of crowd control. As a DJ, she creates art through music, curates energy, and brings a positive sanguine vibe everywhere she goes. She has a gift for reading any room and playing exactly what people want to hear no matter the demographic. Her presence is youthful and passionate, and she is deeply committed to creating real experiences through her craft, which is why she is consistently requested to return wherever she performs.

Linda, also known as LindasLookingGlass, expresses her creativity through photography, body positivity, and affirmation. Everything she creates is intentional, from her lighting to her angles to her choice of muse. She is a plus size goddess who naturally commands attention and brightens every space she enters. Her transparency and kindness serve as a reminder that it is okay to be yourself and feel beautiful doing it. She is also a streamer, content creator, and aspiring model whose work reflects her authenticity.

JettBLK is the definition of fashion forward. He can take anything and transform it into something new with a strong love for denim and custom pieces. His work is rooted in purpose, with inspiration drawn from his autistic brother. Through fashion, he brings awareness and highlights the beauty in being different. While he is skilled behind the sewing machine, on the mic he represents an educated Black man with a voice that is relatable, insightful, and entertaining all at once.

Jigalodeon is in a lane of her own, a balance of fiery and sweet with a natural talent for building and leading teams. She is a media personality and businesswoman who uses her knowledge to help others grow their brands. Off the mic, she is a model and advocate for body positivity. On the mic, she brings energy, humor, and just the right amount of spice, keeping conversations engaging while also creating space for grounding and perspective.

What they are most proud of is the team they have built and the authenticity they bring. Surviving a Sagittarius is not just a show, it is a space where creativity, real life experiences, and genuine connection all exist in one place. That is what truly sets them apart.
