Daily Inspiration: Meet Tasha Kinney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Kinney.

Tasha Kinney

Hi Tasha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My journey began just before the pandemic, fueled by a vision to translate my skills as an educator into tangible products. Starting with teacher planners to streamline my own organization, I gradually expanded into crafting classroom decor and practical teaching aids for fellow educators. As my passion for curriculum design and creative design grew, I began assisting my district and eventually secured contracts both within and outside of it. Today, my focus has evolved to encompass creating inclusive training and professional development programs for organizations of all sizes, all rooted in my love for organization, curriculum, and crafting.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Ah, the journey to where I am today has been quite the rollercoaster ride! Picture this: juggling lesson plans, classroom decor, and the endless demands of being an educator all while attempting to launch a business. It’s like trying to teach calculus to a room full of kindergarteners—challenging, to say the least!

But hey, amidst the chaos, there were moments of pure hilarity. Like the time I accidentally printed 100 copies of the wrong worksheet or when I showed up to a meeting with my shirt on backward because, well, mornings can be rough!

Struggles? Oh, they were aplenty! From navigating the bureaucratic maze of securing contracts to mastering the art of keeping my coffee addiction in check while chasing deadlines. And let’s not even get started on the countless hours spent staring at a blank screen, waiting for inspiration to strike.

But you know what? Every stumble, every setback, and every “oops” moment taught me valuable lessons. They taught me resilience, perseverance, and the importance of always having a backup plan (or at least a stash of emergency chocolate hidden in my desk drawer).

So, here I am, a proud educator turned entrepreneur, armed with a love for curriculum and design, a healthy dose of humor, and a whole lot of practicality. And you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way!
