Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Quinn
Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Brooklyn, New York, and when I was nine, my mom and I moved to Houston. That transition at a young age taught me adaptability and resilience—two qualities that have shaped my journey ever since.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in business and later my MBA, which provided a strong foundation for my career. But beyond my professional path, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—I’ve been a manifesting coach, a lash tech, operated a candle business, and managed my own YouTube channel. Each of these experiences has allowed me to tap into my creativity, connect with people, and continuously learn new skills.
Right now, I’m in the process of developing an exciting new project, which I’m really looking forward to bringing to life. For me, it’s always been about balance—excelling in my career while also pursuing my passions and creating something meaningful.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has definitely had its challenges, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything because they’ve shaped who I am today. Moving from Brooklyn to Houston at a young age was an adjustment, and as I got older, balancing my education, career, and entrepreneurial passions wasn’t always easy.
There were moments of uncertainty—whether it was navigating career transitions, building my businesses from the ground up, or simply figuring out the next step. But each challenge taught me something valuable. I learned resilience, the importance of trusting the process, and how to pivot when things didn’t go as planned.
Through it all, my drive to create and grow has kept me going. Every obstacle has been a stepping stone, and I’m grateful for the lessons along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is a mix of structure and creativity. Professionally, I specialize in business administration, where I focus on all things pertaining to administration—driving efficiency, creating solutions, and ensuring smooth operations. Outside of my professional career, I’m passionate about pursuing entrepreneurial ventures. Right now, I’m putting a lot of focus on growing my YouTube channel and building a new brand, which has required a lot of dedication, research, and planning. I’m excited about where it’s heading and the potential it has.
What sets me apart is my ability to balance both worlds—thriving in my career while also diving deep into personal projects that fuel my creativity and ambition. I’m most proud of my determination and how far I’ve come with everything I’ve worked on. I’ve learned to embrace the challenges, evolve through them, and stay focused on long-term goals.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Finding a mentor or networking is all about building authentic relationships. For me, I’ve found that being genuine and open about your goals and what you’re looking for in a mentor really helps to establish a meaningful connection. I recommend seeking people who align with your values and who are not only knowledgeable but also willing to invest time in your growth.
What’s worked well for me is seeking out people I admire—individuals whose careers or experiences I admire. I’ve reached out to them directly, expressing my genuine interest in learning from them. Don’t be afraid to initiate the conversation—many successful people are open to mentoring, but you have to be proactive and respectful of their time.
