Today we’d like to introduce you to Teemoney Entertainment
Thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Teemoney Entertainment began as a simple idea between three close friends after attending a PV Party. We were just having fun, joking around, and said, “Why don’t we start throwing our own events specifically Afrobeat events?” At the time, we didn’t know of any dedicated Afrobeat entertainment groups in our area, so we decided to create one ourselves.
From there, we reached out to more friends who shared our vision and asked them to help promote both the group and the events we hosted. Step by step, the momentum grew. We’ve learned a lot from each event, always striving to make the next one even better and create memorable experiences for the community.
Today, Teemoney Entertainment is made up of five passionate team members: DJ Teemoney, Priscilla Odaibo, TJ, Shot by Alpha, and Captured by Lulu. DJ Teemoney, who was already DJing at the time, really helped shape the entertainment aspect and became the heart of our sound.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s helped along the way — the DJs, MCs, promotion teams, and all our supporters. Each event has been a learning experience, and we’re excited to continue growing, evolving, and bringing people together through music and culture.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
To be honest, it hasn’t always been smooth. Starting out as one of the new Afrobeat entertainment groups came with its challenges. Promoting events and getting people to show up isn’t as easy as it looks. Sure, for some people, it works out the first time, but for us, it took time to build trust and a community.
One of the biggest struggles was getting people to believe in what we were doing to trust that we could consistently deliver amazing events and memorable experiences. We had to prove ourselves through every party, every event, and every moment. But those challenges pushed us to learn, grow, and stay committed to giving our community the best experience possible.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Teemoney Entertainment, we specialize in throwing some of the best Afrobeat events in Houston. We’re known for creating fun, vibrant, and unforgettable experiences that bring people together through music, energy, and culture.
What we’re most proud of is how far we’ve come. When we started, we knew almost nothing about the entertainment world it was all new to us. But through hard work, consistency, and learning from each event, we’ve built something special.
What sets us apart is our commitment to growth and community. We don’t just throw parties; we focus on creating experiences that people remember and talk about. We’re constantly listening, learning, and improving to make each event better than the last.
