Daily Inspiration: Meet Tony Bejjani

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Bejjani

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As the son of a successful hairdresser, I grew up surrounded by the energy and creativity of the salon world. But I never thought I’d follow in my father’s footsteps. Until I turned 18 and he invited me to join him at work. At first, I was just curious, but the moment I picked up the tools, I fell in love with the art of hairstyling.

My father, a proud member of the Haute Coiffure Française, became my greatest mentor. He taught me not only the craft but the dedication it takes to succeed. Working side by side with him for years, I eventually opened my own salon in Lebanon, and my journey truly began.

Eighteen years later, I’m still as passionate as ever. I’ve been fortunate to serve clients worldwide from Lebanon to London, New York to Los Angeles, and even Egypt and Cyprus. I’ve also worked with amazing people, like the Osteens at Lakewood Church and Whitney Rose from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

Hairdressing isn’t just my career, it’s my lifelong passion. It’s a journey I’m grateful for every day.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part, I would say it has been a smooth road, but like any journey, it came with its own set of challenges. I was fortunate to start young, learning the craft under the guidance of my father. This early foundation gave me the skills to navigate many of the obstacles that came my way.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is how to adapt, not just to technical challenges but to the dynamics of working with people from all walks of life. Every client is unique, and learning to understand and connect with people of different ages, backgrounds, and personalities has been a skill I’ve mastered over time.

Of course, there were moments of doubt and growing pains, especially when I branched out to open my own salon and later expanded my career internationally. Managing a business, staying ahead of industry trends, and building trust in new markets weren’t always easy. But each challenge taught me resilience and adaptability.

Looking back, the struggles were just stepping stones that helped shape me into the professional I am today. They taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of constantly evolving in both skill and mindset.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I like to think of myself as a life-changer, but with scissors and a bit of hair dye instead of a cape. My job is to show people the best version of themselves, the one they sometimes don’t even know exists. Everyone has that untapped beauty hiding somewhere, and I have a knack for calling it out and bringing it to life.

Over the years, I’ve mastered the art of precision cuts, color transformations, and styling that speaks volumes before anyone even opens their mouth. Sure, I work with hair, but what I really do is enhance confidence and turn heads, literally!

What I’m most proud of, though, is the relationships I’ve built with my clients. They’re not just customers to me, they’re like family (except I actually enjoy spending time with them). I take their trust personally, and that’s why my client relationships often last years, not just a haircut or two.

On top of that, I’m incredibly grateful for where this career has taken me. I’ve traveled the world, worked backstage on exciting sets, and experienced the thrill of making people feel their best in cities from New York to London.

What sets me apart? World-class education, unique techniques, and a relentless passion for what I do. But honestly, it’s also my ability to bring out someone’s personality through their hair, and maybe the fact that I’ll never let you leave my chair looking anything less than fabulous.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happy? Honestly, new challenges. There’s something thrilling about stepping into the unknown and figuring it out, like life’s version of a chaotic escape room. Every time I push through a barrier, I feel like I’ve leveled up as a human being. Who doesn’t love a little personal evolution? Plus, the joy of saying, “Look at me now!” is unmatched.

Breaking out of my comfort zone keeps me on my toes, and sometimes on edge, let’s be real! But there’s this incredible satisfaction in morphing into a better version of myself.

Also, knowing I’m working for something bigger than myself gets me out of bed in the morning. It’s not just about hair or even making people look good, it’s about the ripple effect. When someone leaves my chair feeling confident, it’s like I’ve indirectly brightened their world, and maybe made their selfie game stronger. That ripple effect? Totally worth the late nights, early mornings, and caffeine-fueled days.

And let’s not forget the small stuff: great coffee, amazing conversations, and those moments when a client sees their reflection and literally gasps with the regular, “ohhh wow”. Those little things remind me why I do what I do and why it brings me so much happiness.
