Today we’d like to introduce you to Toun Fadugba.
Hi Toun, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story is deeply rooted in faith, purpose, and a desire to see women become all that God created them to be.
I am an ordained pastor and Bible teacher, a wife and mother of three sons, and an engineer and IT leader with more than 30 years of professional experience. Through the different seasons and responsibilities of my own life, I have come to understand many of the challenges women face as they seek to navigate faith, family, careers, relationships, and purpose. Those experiences have deepened my passion for helping women recognize their worth, overcome limitations, and flourish in every area of life.
Before Fearless began, I had walked through some difficult seasons as a woman—experiences that caused me to ask God honest questions about His love for women and the purpose He created women to fulfill. In response, God gave me profound and reassuring answers that transformed my perspective and awakened in me a determination to help women understand their value and fulfill their God-given purpose. Then, in 2019, my husband, Pastor Bayo Fadugba, Lead Pastor of our church family, Dominion Chapel Houston, suggested that I organize a large conference for women. The idea connected so deeply with everything God had already been stirring in my heart that I immediately recognized He was speaking through my husband. With his encouragement and wholehearted support, I took the first step—and that is how the Fearless Women’s Conference was born.
The support of Dominion Chapel Houston was instrumental in turning the vision into a reality. The church leadership and members embraced Fearless wholeheartedly, offering their time, gifts, resources, and service with overwhelming enthusiasm. From the very beginning, they have continued to stand behind the vision and remain an essential part of everything Fearless has become.
The Fearless Women’s Conference, is an annual free gathering designed to enlighten, empower, and elevate women to boldly live life to the fullest in Christ. What began as a conference has grown into a movement that welcomes 1,000 women each year in person, and many more online.
The name “Fearless” is rooted in 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” That scripture captures the heart of what we want women to experience—not simply inspiration for a moment, but the courage and confidence to walk boldly in their identity, purpose, and calling.
Over the years, Fearless has expanded to a movement, beyond the annual conference through conversations, community, storytelling, and The Fearless Women’s Podcast. The podcast is available through the Fearless Women YouTube channel, which has grown to more than 55,000 subscribers globally. Some podcast clips have reached millions of views across social media, with the most-viewed clip approaching 7 million views.
What I am most proud of is not simply the global reach of the movement or the numbers online. It is seeing women leave with renewed faith, greater clarity, confidence, meaningful connections, and boldness to fulfill their purpose.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of our greatest challenges has been sustaining a large, high-quality conference while keeping it completely free for attendees. Hosting more than 1,000 women requires significant resources, including the venue, production, speakers, travel, hospitality, marketing, security, and operations. Because accessibility is central to our mission, we rely heavily on sponsors, partners, donors, volunteers, and others who believe in the vision. We are grateful to them all!
Coordinating high-profile and international guests can also be complex, involving travel, contracts, technical requirements, schedules, and unexpected changes.
Through it all, I have learned that building something meaningful requires faith, preparation, flexibility, and a strong team.
Every obstacle has strengthened our capacity to steward the vision with greater wisdom and excellence.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Ministry / Leadership / Women’s Empowerment.
I am a ministry leader, visionary, and advocate for women. My work centers on helping women understand their identity, discover their purpose, strengthen their faith, and live boldly. Through Fearless, I have the privilege of creating spaces where women from different backgrounds can come together, learn, worship, build relationships, and be reminded that their lives and stories matter. I am especially passionate about building community and creating opportunities for women to move from simply knowing that they have purpose to actually having the courage to pursue it. What sets this work apart is the heart behind it. Fearless is not simply about hosting an event. It is about creating an environment where women can encounter God, find encouragement, gain clarity, and connect with other women who are walking through similar journeys. I am most proud that something that began as a vision in 2019 has grown into a movement that continues to impact women beyond a single day or conference.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
What some people call “luck,” I often see as a combination of God’s grace, preparation, relationships, timing, and the willingness to take a step of faith.
There have certainly been unexpected opportunities, connections, and open doors that have helped move the vision forward. However, I have learned not to build my life or work around luck. Vision comes with responsibility. You must prepare, show up consistently, nurture relationships, remain teachable, and be willing to persevere through difficult seasons.
Faith has been central to my journey. I believe God gives the vision and opens doors, but we must be willing to act on what He places in our hearts. Faith does not remove the need for preparation and hard work; it gives us the courage to begin and the strength to continue.
Relationships have also played an invaluable role. I will always be grateful for my husband’s encouragement and for the tremendous support of our church family at Dominion Chapel Houston. Their commitment, generosity, and enthusiasm have been instrumental in launching Fearless and helping it grow into the movement it is today.
