Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Narcisse.
Hi Veronica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started out in trucking by being kind of thrown into the situation, I had absolutely no knowledge of the trucking industry. I taught myself the entire business with no help and from there, I slowly grew in dispatching. Started to dispatch more and more drivers and I became one of the best dispatchers. I was running 23 trucks on my own with no help, and I had a waitlist of drivers wanting to work with me. I eventually started my own company, and within 2 years, I have 6 trucks running under Londyn bridges cargo.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This was never a smooth road the trucking industry caters to men and looks down on women it is a male dominant industry. You get talked down on yelled and even cursed at its not easy to get business handed to you. I made many mistakes to get to where I am at. The biggest o stables are making sure I’m in cómplice and depending on the drivers you hire to pick up and deliver freight on time to customer expectations.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I was just shy of 1 million in the second year of running my company I’m in my theirs year and have already surpassed that number and we are not even done with the year.
