Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy & Larissa Floyd
Hi Jeremy & Larissa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We have always been drawn to and interested in renovation, home design and real estate. Due to the demanding schedule of managing a business owned by Jeremys family for over 40 years, we were not able to do anything anything in those arenas. We tossed around the idea a few times about doing a flip in our free time while still working at the family business. However, we just could never make it work. In July of 2019, we felt the deep call and desire to quit our job and fully pursue flipping homes and real estate. So in late August 2019, we did just that! It was scary, exciting, nerve wracking and exhilarating! We went all in with everything we had and Arukah Properties and Homes was formed! Arukah in Hebrew means “Gods Restoration.” It is our desire to bring that same restoration into every project, environment and situation that we have the honor of being a part of. In October 2019, we purchased our first flip in Seabrook, TX. We began flipping it and ran into several challenges that renovation inevitably brings. There were things that could easily have been covered up and corners cut in order to stay in line with budgets but that is not the core foundation that our business is built on. We truly believe in going to extra mile in everything we do and our business practices are no exception.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been smooth. Some of the challenges that we have faced have been unexpected repairs and the subsequent costs of those repairs. We ran into subcontractor issues and COVID happened right as we put our first home on the market. Although it hasn’t been smooth, we have had peace throughout our entire journey.

We would want others to know that no matter the cost to us, we will complete jobs based on customer satisfaction. We don’t do what we do just to make a profit. We renovate to restore value back to properties and make clients dreams come to life.
How do you define success?
Success is defined for us as pursuing passions and finding joy and happiness in every aspect of life. It’s not just about being financially successful but being prosperous in all areas of life including relationships, home life and many more!
