Exploring Life & Business with Adriana Perez of Texas Liquor Licensing Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Perez.

Hi Adriana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Everything started with a simple goal: to be the bridge between people with a dream and the information they need to make it a reality.

I began working in the licensing industry in August 2018, where I quickly realized how overwhelming the permitting process could be for business owners. I saw an opportunity to simplify that process and genuinely help entrepreneurs navigate it with confidence.

In January 2020, I founded Texas Liquor Licensing Agency with a vision of building more than just a licensing company. My goal has always been to create the most trusted and respected liquor licensing agency in Texas by providing exceptional service and treating every client’s business as if it were my own.

On a personal level, entrepreneurship wasn’t something I grew up believing was within reach. I am the first person in my immediate family to graduate from college, and owning a business felt like a distant dream.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. During my first year in business, I was often working until 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning. I was building my company from the ground up while also teaching myself how to run a business. I didn’t have all the answers, and there wasn’t a step-by-step guide to follow.

I had to learn everything myself—from operations and finances to marketing, sales, and client relationships. Every challenge became a lesson, and every mistake helped me grow into a better business owner.

Looking back, those long nights and difficult moments were worth it. They taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of never stopping learning. Today, I can confidently say that every obstacle I faced helped shape both the business I have built and the person I have become.

As you know, we’re big fans of Texas Liquor Licensing Agency. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Texas Liquor Licensing Agency was built with one mission: to make the licensing process simple, stress-free, and approachable for business owners across Texas. We help entrepreneurs obtain and maintain the permits they need to legally sell alcohol, handling everything from TABC licensing and city permits to renewals and compliance requirements.

What sets my company apart is the level of care and communication I provide. I believe my clients deserve more than someone who simply files paperwork—they deserve a trusted partner who is invested in the success of their business. I treat every client’s business as if it were my own, and I pride myself on being accessible, responsive, and transparent throughout the entire process. My clients know they can call, text, or email me and receive honest answers and timely updates.

Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for reliability, accountability, and creating long-term relationships. Many of my highest-value clients have been with me for years, and a large portion of my business comes from referrals. To me, that’s one of the greatest compliments I can receive because it means people trust me enough to recommend my services to others.

What I’m most proud of is the brand I’ve created. I wanted Texas Liquor Licensing Agency to feel different from a traditional licensing company. I wanted it to feel personal, welcoming, and genuinely committed to helping entrepreneurs succeed. Every permit represents someone’s dream—a new restaurant, bar, convenience store, or family-owned business—and I never lose sight of that. Being part of those milestones is the most rewarding part of what I do.

I want readers to know that my business is about more than obtaining permits. It’s about removing obstacles so business owners can focus on what they do best: building successful businesses and serving their communities. My goal is to be the trusted resource they think of first whenever they need guidance, whether they’re opening their first location or expanding to their fiftieth.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone starting out is to be willing to learn, stay patient with the process, and understand that success does not happen overnight. When I started my business, I quickly learned that entrepreneurship is about learning as you go, making mistakes, and growing from those experiences.

One of the most important lessons I learned was the value of surrounding yourself with people you trust. I sought guidance from experienced advisors who I trust and admire, like David Mosberg with Triumvir Financial, and Luis Lopez with Insure Texas who have helped me make better decisions and continue growing as a business owner.

My brother, Alonso Perez, has also been a huge inspiration. Watching him build his own company, Mail to Profit, and seeing his passion for helping businesses through email marketing motivates me to keep pushing myself and continue growing.

My advice to new entrepreneurs is to build genuine relationships, stay consistent, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. The right people and the right mindset can make all the difference.
