Today we’d like to introduce you to Alessandro Viviani.
Alessandro, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing the Venezuelan cuatro when I was eight years old, picked up the guitar at fourteen, and taught myself piano at fifteen. Even as a teenager, I was already performing professionally alongside musicians much older than me. One of my earliest opportunities came when Venezuelan singer-songwriter Carlos La Salvia invited me to join his live band. After only a few rehearsals, he asked me to become the band’s musical director—even though I was still in high school. Earning the respect and trust of experienced musicians at such a young age gave me confidence that music was more than just a hobby—it was where I belonged.
After graduating from high school, I was preparing to study Electronic Engineering, but my mother gave me a piece of advice that changed my life: “Listen to your heart, son. If music is what you truly love, dedicate your life to it.” I followed her advice, never looked back, and returned to the National Conservatory of Music Juan José Landaeta in Caracas, where I continued my formal music studies.
Along the way, I also earned a degree in Insurance, which strengthened my analytical and business mindset. Although I value that education, music has always been my true vocation.
Over the years, I built a career as a musician, producer, arranger, recording engineer, mixing engineer, and mastering engineer. I had the opportunity to collaborate with artists across Latin America, contribute music to television productions in Venezuela and Ecuador, and work with artists including Jonathan Moly, Ezio Oliva, Daniela Darcourt, and many others.
In 2017, my wife and I moved to the United States, first to Miami and later to Houston, where we decided to build a new chapter of our lives. Starting over in a new country meant rebuilding my professional network from the ground up, but it also opened the door to new opportunities. Since then, I’ve continued expanding my career through ongoing collaborations with WhitStyle Entertainment, contributing to multiple releases as a producer, recording engineer, guitarist, mixing engineer, and mastering engineer.
Today, I lead La Sala Records, where I help artists develop their music from the earliest creative stages through production, recording, mixing, and mastering. I also founded Taxi Live Band, a live entertainment project focused on creating memorable experiences for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations, and Viviani International Music Academy, where students of all ages learn music in both English and Spanish.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but looking back, I wouldn’t change the journey.
One of the biggest turning points in my life was moving to the United States. Before coming here, I had already built a career in Venezuela as a performer, musical director, and producer. When I arrived, I quickly realized that I hadn’t lost my experience—I had lost my professional network.
During my first months in the U.S., much of my focus was on completing my immigration process and building a new life with my wife. At the same time, I continued producing music for artists I had already been working with, which allowed me to remain creatively active while preparing for this new chapter.
Once I settled in Houston, I understood that rebuilding a career would take patience. To support myself, I took on different jobs while continuing to say yes to every opportunity to make music. I performed with local bands, taught piano, produced recordings from my home studio, and continued building relationships within the local music community. When the pandemic disrupted the music industry, I adapted once again, finding other ways to support my family while continuing to produce and collaborate with artists whenever opportunities arose.
Those years taught me that success isn’t something you achieve once—sometimes you have to earn it again in a completely new place. More importantly, they reminded me that perseverance, humility, and consistency are just as valuable as talent. Looking back, I’m grateful for every challenge because each one strengthened not only my career, but also my character. They taught me that no matter where life takes me, passion, perseverance, and integrity are values I can always carry with me.

La Sala Records is a Houston-based music production company that collaborates with artists from around the world, offering services that include arranging, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, artist development, release planning, creative direction, and full music production.
Every project is different. Some artists work with me from the earliest stages of songwriting through the final release, while others come to us for support with a specific part of the process. Understanding what each project requires allows me to guide artists through the creative and technical decisions that help each project reach its full potential.
In addition to music production, La Sala Records is home to Taxi Live Band, which provides live entertainment for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations, and Viviani International Music Academy, where students of all ages can learn piano, guitar, ukulele, and music theory in both English and Spanish.
Together, these three areas allow me to support artists at different stages of their musical journey—from developing and producing original music to live performance and music education—all under one creative home.
How do you define success?
To me, success isn’t measured only by awards or recognition, even though those would certainly be meaningful milestones. Real success is earning the trust of artists, students, and clients to the point where they choose to work with me because they truly believe in what I can help them achieve.
Success is becoming the person artists think of first—not because of popularity or hype, but because they genuinely believe I can bring out the very best in their music. It’s knowing that students, clients, and collaborators choose to work with me because they value my vision, my professionalism, and my commitment to helping them succeed.
If, through my work, I can contribute to someone’s career, create opportunities for the people who work alongside me, and leave every project better than I found it, then I’ll consider my career a success. Any award that comes along the way would simply be an honor—not the destination.
