Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Furgiuele.
Hi Amanda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been an entrepreneur since before I knew that was a thing. I was the kid with the side-by-side lemonade stand and carwash. I remember calculating ways to make more money at the stand by selling candy and friendship bracelets—always about being a hustler, always striving to maximize time and increase profits, even before I could do math. But it was more than a hustle for me. Business is in my bones. I love working, and more importantly, I love working on work and helping others meet their potential.
I have never been one to shy away from work, turn down a challenge, or live a life ordinarily. I started my first “official” business while I was still in college and continued on a rampage of founding, running, buying, and selling multiple businesses over the next couple of decades. From television production to Pilates, pole dancing, burlesque, costuming, music management, retail, ghostwriting, journalism, translation, podcasting, marketing, and even a commercial fishing business, I have literally done it all and accumulated incredible insights and expertise that I now use in my consulting, coaching, and other businesses every single day.
I have had the privilege to work with many international celebrities and multi-million-dollar companies, including the Travel Channel, VH1, MTV, Four Seasons Resorts, ESPN, and Forbes, across 15 different countries, but I truly believe that everyone has the capacity for greatness in their field. Sometimes you just need help getting there.
Working as an International Business Consultant and Strategist has been one of the most rewarding businesses I have started. I get to help other entrepreneurs and business owners grow, scale, get sh*t done, and actually enjoy their lives. How awesome is that?!? Almost two years ago, I joined forces with one of my longtime friends and mentors, Lynn Howard (who is an Entrepreneurial Development Strategist based out of Bangkok), and we created a new company and empire with the goal to reach millions with our books, trainings, and podcast. Our first two books (the third co-written book will be released in early 2024) are The Pursuit of Badasserie: How to Create Badass Business Abundance and The Pursuit of Badasserie, The Sales Edition: Badass Business Sales Solutions, which are both award-winning Amazon bestselling books dedicated to entrepreneurship, business, and sales. Lynn and I also wrote 2 books separately. Hers is an autobiography that releases later this year, and I released my first Children’s book, Where the Pumpkins Grow, in September 2023.
Although we have separate businesses, as well as our joint venture, we are continuing to grow and evolve. Our weekly podcast, The Pursuit of Badasserie: The Podcast, recently hit #9 in Southeast Asia for business podcasts, and we hope to continue to grow it. In addition, we host free and paid trainings across the globe both in person and virtually, are sought-after speakers, and have a strong commitment to giving back to our communities.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
“A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.” I have been an entrepreneur and multiple business owner for over twenty years, and I would be lying if I said it was all rainbows and sunshine. I remember making calls to bankruptcy lawyers one week and then closing multiple 6-figure deals the next. Literally. I burned a lot of bridges and steamrolled people before I grew into my true leadership style. I liquidated businesses, cut major losses during Covid, and worked to keep businesses open after natural disasters. I made hundreds of thousands of dollars in mistakes. And that’s also what makes me so effective at my job now. I’ve been there. I’ve done my ugly crying in the shower. I’ve faced multiple lawsuits and tax audits, and I’ve still failed forward. Moreover, I have absolutely no plans of stopping, ever.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about AF Consulting Team and The Pursuit of Badasserie?
I own multiple businesses across a couple of states (and countries). The two I am most active in and excited about are my business consulting firm, AF Consulting Team, and my partnership with The Pursuit of Badasserie.
As an international business consultant and strategist, I have a track record of helping companies of all sizes navigate complex challenges. My approach is centered on delivering practical solutions and achieving measurable results with no fluff. I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from startups to established corporations, across various industries and countries. I especially love working with smaller companies of less than 100 people and younger than five years, and the health and wellness sector is a particular passion project as well.
I specialize in devising innovative strategies to drive growth and overcome business obstacles. My work often involves strategic planning, process optimization, sales and marketing, and leadership development. I’m known for my ability to identify opportunities that others might overlook and develop actionable plans that lead to tangible improvements. I also have a particular knack for spotting potential problems and proactively seeking solutions.

I never truly understood the quote, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together,” until I aligned myself with the right people. For so many years, I was the solopreneur with the mindset of “if you want it done right, do it yourself,” but finding the right team can make a 1000% difference in absolutely everything you do. I have an incredible team of mentors, coaches (yes, even coaches have coaches), strategic partnerships, employees, partners, and more. It’s one of the pieces of advice I give out regularly–find your executive team. Find who inspires you, who motivates you without being a “yes man,” who calls you on your B.S., who holds you up to higher standards, who helps you get it done, and who will sit with you in your darkness.
