Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Price.
Hi Angel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a family that didn’t always have much, and from an early age I learned the value of hard work, resilience, and looking out for others. Those lessons stayed with me and shaped the way I approach life and business. Over time, I discovered a deep desire to help people find stability and peace in their homes to create a place where families feel safe and supported.
Before real estate I spent 20 years as a property and casualty insurance agent. I had an incredible mentor who shaped my perspective on business and service. He always told me that insurance wasn’t about making a sale, it was about protecting people’s lives, their livelihoods and their assets. His example taught me that helping others should always come before chasing numbers. When he retired, I felt it was time for me to make a change and find a new way to help people on an even more personal level. That’s when I turned to real estate.
I know firsthand what it feels like to struggle with housing and to wonder if homeownership will ever be possible. Before meeting my husband, I was a single mother, working hard to build stability for my daughter and create a better life. I was the first person in my immediate family to own a home, and that experience changed everything for me. It gave me stability, pride, and a sense of accomplishment I’ll never forget. Now, I get to help others experience that same feeling, especially first-time buyers who may not realize that owning a home is within their reach.
My husband, who is a law enforcement officer, has been my biggest supporter through every step of this journey. He’s not only my partner but also one of my greatest mentors. Watching him serve with such integrity, compassion, and moral strength has taught me so much about what it means to lead with purpose. His commitment to doing what’s right, even when it’s hard, inspires me every day in how I run TruPromise Realty. I have a deep respect for first responders like him. They give so much of themselves to protect others, often without enough recognition. Every police officer deserves a place to call home, a safe space where they can relax, recharge, and find peace after each shift. I make it a priority to help first responders and their families find homes where they can truly feel safe and at peace. They sacrifice so much for their communities, and helping them achieve homeownership is one small way I can show my gratitude.
Five years ago our family suffered an unimaginable loss when our oldest son passed away. His death changed the course of our family’s lives. It took time to rebuild, to find purpose again and to channel pain into something meaningful.
In 2025 after working five years on a real estate team, I decided to pour that energy into earning my broker’s license and in August, I opened TruPromise Realty. The name TruPromise is deeply personal. Our son’s initials were T.P. and naming my brokerage after him felt like the most natural way to honor his memory. But the name carries even more meaning than that. In Greek, the greatest form of love is Agape, selfless, unconditional love. That’s the love we had for our son and it’s the same love that I believe should exist within a home. To me, a home is a true promise, a place where you are always welcomed, always loved, and always safe.
One of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been watching my daughter, Sierra, follow in my footsteps. She recently joined TruPromise Realty, and being able to mentor her the way my own mentor once guided me has been one of my proudest moments. Seeing her grow in this business and carry forward the same values, integrity, compassion, and service, makes me feel like the heart behind TruPromise will continue for generations to come.
TruPromise Realty was built on the foundation of honesty, care and genuine connection. My mission is to help others find not just a house, but a home filled with Agape, the same unconditional love that inspired it all. Every client I help, every agent I mentor, and every transaction I oversee is done with heart and purpose. TruPromise Realty isn’t just a business it’s a reflection of my journey, my values, and the promise I’ve made to my family and to help others find their way home.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I believe every challenge has shaped who I am and how I run my business today. Transitioning into real estate after two decades in insurance was a big change I had to rebuild my career from the ground up, learn new systems, and reestablish myself in a completely different industry. And I did all of this at the beginning of COVID, when uncertainty and fear were affecting everyone. It was humbling at times, and there were moments when I wondered if I was doing the right thing, but I stayed focused on the reason I started: to help people find stability and peace in their homes.
On a deeply personal level, the loss of our oldest son was the hardest challenge my family has ever faced. Grief changes and tests everything in a family, your priorities, your perspective, and your strength. For a long time, we had to focus on healing and simply putting one foot in front of the other. That period tested every part of me, but it also gave me clarity about what truly matters in life — family, purpose, and making a difference for others.
Opening my own brokerage came with a whole new set of challenges, from understanding compliance and marketing to training agents and balancing all the responsibilities of being a business owner. Every decision, every transaction, and every new process was a learning experience. But each struggle has made me stronger, more resilient, and more determined.
Working with first-time homebuyers and first responders also brings its own set of challenges. Many first-time buyers face financial hurdles or feel uncertain about the process, and helping them navigate programs like down payment assistance, affordability options, and loan qualifications requires patience, education, and empathy. First responders often work long, stressful hours in high-pressure roles, and helping them find a home that feels safe and peaceful is incredibly important. I make it a priority to work around their schedules showing homes early in the morning, meeting late in the evening, or on their days off, so they can focus on their work while still achieving their dream of homeownership.
I’ve learned that smooth roads don’t build strength — the bumpy ones do. Facing challenges head-on has taught me patience, perseverance, and the importance of keeping your purpose at the center of everything you do. These experiences have shaped who I am today and guide the way I serve my clients, my agents, and my community through TruPromise Realty.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in Galveston, Texas, the daughter of a Greek immigrant father and a hardworking nurse. Life wasn’t always easy, and money was often tight. I remember the day our long-term rent was raised, and my family couldn’t afford to stay we had to move to Texas City. That experience gave me an early understanding of what it feels like when stability is uncertain, and it planted the seed for why homeownership became such an important goal for me later in life.
As a child, I was independent and determined, often doing things my own way. I didn’t always listen, but I always tried to figure out my own path. I was practical but also creative, and I loved solving problems in fact, I’ve been called “Inspector Gadget” a few times for my curiosity and persistence! I was also caring and empathetic, always noticing when someone needed help and wanting to make things better where I could.
I was curious about people and their stories, and I think that’s part of why I naturally gravitated toward careers where helping others was central. Growing up in a Greek household, family, loyalty, and community were at the heart of everything we did. We didn’t have a lot of material wealth, but we had love, support, and a strong sense of responsibility to one another. Those values hard work, integrity, empathy, and the desire to make a positive impact have stayed with me throughout my life and continue to guide me in both my personal and professional endeavors.
Those early experiences seeing firsthand how fragile housing stability can be and learning the value of community and support are what drive me today to help first-time buyers and first responders. I understand the importance of finding a home that isn’t just four walls, but a place of safety, peace, and pride. Helping families achieve that stability, especially those who serve our communities or are just starting out is deeply personal to me.
