Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Roberson.
Hi Brandon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My wife and I were sitting around on a Saturday afternoon thinking about how we could add to our legacy as well as create something our children could enjoy. We both agreed that it was time to start a business that would bring excitement, memories, and high-quality customer service to the community. That’s when it hit us! Grace and I wanted to start an event rental business that was not only fun, but one that created a family-friendly environment. In 2016, we started our journey with two inflatable bouncers. Fast forward to 2021. Orbit Moonwalks now owns over 40 inflatable bounce houses, water slides, and games! Grace and I literally put our blood, sweat, and tears into our business. We decided that we would separate ourselves from other companies by handpicking and customizing our own unique inventory!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
The road to success is not straight! If anything, there will be struggles as well as growing pains. In our business, if one piece of equipment is missing or we forget to put it on the delivery truck, this might have a potential adverseimpact on the delivery routes for the entire day. This is just a minor obstacle that we might experience in our day-to-day operation.
Each time we go out and make a delivery to our customers, each event is a learning opportunity for me as well as our team members. Every satisfactory rental setup teaches us how we can improve on the next one. We control what we can and try to become even better at the service(s) we provide!
We’ve been impressed with Orbit Moonwalks and Party Rentals, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Orbit Moonwalks we aim to deliver the best event rentals in the area. We offer bounce houses, obstacle courses, waterslides, tables/chairs, and so much more. The thing that sets us apart is our awesome product selection. We also provide foam parties!
At Orbit Moonwalk our core services are the bounce houses, which consist of the following themes: Unicorn, Dinosaur, 4-Wheeler, Mickey Mouse, Mermaid, Princess, Tropical, Pirate, Sports, Circus, Halloween, and American Flag.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might be starting out?
If you are someone just starting out, I suggest you find a mentor who is willing to meet with you weekly. This will allow you to discuss various ideas and have much needed conversations with someone who has a vast amount of experience and wisdom. I would also recommend to always study trends and stay current on what is happening in your business field. The last bit of advice I would offer would be to find the positive in every situation you encounter.
