Hi Christina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m the co-founder of The Modern Halo, a business that reflects my deep passion for health, beauty, and entrepreneurship. My journey started as a nurse practitioner, but my love for creating meaningful ventures led me to become a serial entrepreneur. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of founding Jubilee Care Home Health and working with my family to bring Howdy Homemade Ice Cream to Katy.
As a local and Mayde Creek High School graduate, I’m proud to invest in my community through these businesses, each one built around serving and supporting others.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting The Modern Halo has been an exciting adventure, but it definitely came with its challenges. One of the biggest hurdles we faced was learning how to blend our diverse backgrounds and skills. With experience ranging from medical fields to business solutions, the hair industry, and small business ownership, we each brought something unique to the table. The challenge was knowing when to lean on each other’s expertise and figuring out how to create roles that played to our individual strengths.
It required a lot of open communication, mutual respect, and a willingness to step outside of our comfort zones. But through this process, we’ve grown stronger as a team. What started as a struggle ultimately became one of our biggest assets—our ability to collaborate effectively and embrace each other’s differences.
This journey has also been deeply rewarding, strengthening our bond as sisters and teaching us invaluable lessons in teamwork and trust. Learning to rely on each other has not only made our business stronger but has also enriched our relationship and how we work together.

The Modern Halo Head Spa & Dry Bar has been transforming the hair and scalp care industry since opening in October 2023. Located at 26717 Westheimer Parkway, Suite 402, we provide a unique combination of relaxation, rejuvenation, and style transformation, all in one visit.
Our vision was to create a sanctuary where anyone—men and women alike—can come to unwind, refresh, and escape the stresses of everyday life. At The Modern Halo, we offer a one-of-a-kind experience that blends the tranquility of a spa with the power of a long-lasting blowout. What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
