Exploring Life & Business with Crystal Grant of Houston Cigar Week

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Grant.

Crystal Grant

Hi Crystal, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Started as a cigar company that partnered with other cigar groups and promoters to showcase the hospitality and culture of Houston, TX. Each group had experience with hosting festivals but decided to collaborate on a larger scale to highlight the entertainment, restaurants, venues, and small businesses. Through our efforts, we’ve established a nonprofit to enhance our economic impact and growth to the city by focusing on US veterans and underserved communities.

Houston Cigar Week is a 6-day festival with over 25 events that include a concert with Grammy-nominated artists and local talent, a comedy show, and more.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has been rewarding while consistently overcoming obstacles. Asserting myself as a female cigar brand owner, establishing a reputable brand as a black minority respected nationalist, building meaningful relationships in the community through partnerships and collaboration with others, to my team being rewarded by Congress as having the largest cigar festival in 2023. My journey has been filled with overcoming perfectionism, using my creative mindset, and seeing our hard work and enjoyment come to life during Houston Cigar Week.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
