Hi Kim, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2022, I embarked on a mission to create an online store that would not only offer fashionable clothing but also serve as a source of inspiration and empowerment through Bible verses. I believe God has a purpose and a plan for each of us and can use our challenges and struggles to transform us and others.
Each garment is a powerful reminder of the strength within us through Jesus Christ’s transcending limitations, brokenness, and fears. These messages remind me and my customers that we are not defined by our circumstances but by God’s grace and love. They also encourage us to trust God and step out of our comfort zones, knowing He is with us and for us.
I used an online platform to create and sell my products, and I also have a social media account to promote my brand. I have received positive feedback and support from individuals who bought or saw my products.
My goal is to sell comfortable but also meaningful and impactful clothing. I want to help people express their faith and share their testimony with others through fashion. I hope others will find the courage and motivation to harness their unique talents and dedicate them to the glory of God.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has been a challenging road. I have encountered many challenges. Some of the challenges I encountered were:
Technical issues: When I first launched my online store, I dealt with various technical problems, such as website design and product creation. I had to learn how to use different tools and how to troubleshoot problems when they occurred. Sometimes, I had to seek professional help to fix the technical issues. This was costly and time-consuming, but also helped me gain more knowledge and skills.
Market competition: The online clothing industry is very competitive. Many other brands and stores offer similar products and services. I must find ways to differentiate myself from the crowd and attract customers.
Financial pressures: Running an online store is a costly undertaking. I had to invest a lot of money into my business, such as paying for platforms and tools and hiring professionals.
I am excited to continue working on improving my online store. Every challenge is a chance to learn, grow, and innovate. I am passionate about creating clothing that inspires people to share their testimony and feel empowered through the scriptures. I am grateful for the opportunity to do what I enjoy and glorify God simultaneously. I am determined to make my online store the best possible and fulfill God’s plan for my life.
We’ve been impressed with M-POWERED, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
M-POWERED is an online Christian clothing store for men and women. The “M” holds a significant meaning. It stands for ministry.
M-POWERED has a unique mission and vision distinguishes it from other online clothing stores. It is based on my personal story of overcoming limitations. I have experienced the power of God’s grace and love in my life, and I want to share it with others. M-POWERED is not just a business but a ministry. It is not just about selling products but about sharing God’s Word. It is not just about making money but about making a difference.
M-POWERED is more than just a clothing store. It is a community of believers passionate about their faith. It is a movement of people who are unafraid to stand up for what they believe in and are willing to support each other in their journeys. It is a testimony of God’s power and love.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I have many fond memories of attending a summer camp as a kid. It was a place where I could have fun and learn new things.
The camp offered a variety of activities, such as crafts, music, and nature exploration. Going to a summer camp was one of my life’s most enjoyable experiences. It taught me to appreciate the value of diversity, adventure, and community. One of the highlights of my camp experience was when I made the newspaper. I was so proud and happy to see my name and picture in print, which I still have the newspaper article. I will never forget those days at the camp and the fun I had.
