Leilani, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story began with transition. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in Houston, Texas, and after my parents separated, life shifted in ways that required me to grow up quickly. That experience built my resilience early and shaped how I move through challenges.

As I grew, I became passionate about building connections and creating spaces where women could support one another. That led me to create the Boss Women Network, which was centered around community, collaboration, and shared growth.

But behind the scenes, I was overwhelmed. Things were not aligned. I was pouring into others, building platforms, and creating opportunities, but I was not fully structured or supported myself. That was a turning point for me.

The shift was not just professional, it was personal. I made the decision to put myself first. To get aligned. To build systems. To operate with intention instead of constantly reacting.

That is where everything changed.

From that place, I built the CEOess brand, not from theory, but from lived experience. CEOess is rooted in the belief that everything starts with you. When you are aligned, structured, and clear, everything else you build becomes stronger, more sustainable, and more impactful.

My background spans multiple industries. I earned my Master’s in Business Administration and built experience as a real estate broker and business owner, while also working in brand development, podcasting, media production, fashion design, and automation engineering. Every experience contributed to how I now approach business, strategically and with systems at the core.

Today, I help entrepreneurs, especially women, move from overwhelm to structure. I build automated systems and scalable strategies, but more importantly, I show them what it looks like to walk it out, to prioritize themselves, align their vision, and build businesses that actually support their lives.

Everything I do is rooted in one mindset. If you fall, you get back up, straighten your crown, and keep moving forward. I lead with integrity, I stay passionate, and I believe that being different is your advantage.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, and that is exactly what shaped who I am today.

There were seasons where I was doing everything at once, building businesses, creating platforms like Boss Women Network, showing up for others, and trying to grow, but behind the scenes I was overwhelmed and out of alignment. I was pouring into everyone else while trying to hold everything together myself. That kind of pace is not sustainable, and eventually it forces you to face what is not working.

One of the biggest struggles was realizing that effort alone is not enough. You can be talented, driven, and consistent, and still feel stuck if you do not have structure, systems, and clarity. I had to unlearn the idea that doing more would fix everything. In reality, it was about doing things differently.

There were also challenges that came with building something from the ground up. Wearing multiple roles, navigating uncertainty, and making decisions without a clear blueprint can be isolating. Not everything worked the first time, and some things had to be rebuilt entirely. That process required discipline, patience, and a strong mindset.

The turning point came when I decided to shift my focus inward. I stopped building from a place of pressure and started building from a place of alignment. That is what led to the creation of CEOess. It was not just a business move, it was a personal reset.

Looking back, the struggles were necessary. They forced me to become more intentional, more structured, and more grounded in how I build and lead. Now, everything I create is designed to eliminate the same overwhelm I once experienced and to help others build in a way that actually supports their life.

As you know, we’re big fans of Boss Women Network/CEOess. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My work is centered around helping entrepreneurs build businesses that function with structure, clarity, and sustainability. I specialize in automation, backend systems, and brand strategy, with a focus on creating ecosystems that allow businesses to grow without constant manual effort.

Through CEOess, I design automated business infrastructures. That includes lead generation, client onboarding, content automation, email marketing, and operational workflows. I help entrepreneurs move from doing everything themselves to operating with systems that support their growth. My approach is not just about visibility, it is about how the entire business runs behind the scenes.

What sets me apart is that my work is built from lived experience. I created the Boss Women Network as a community platform, and through that process I experienced what it looks like to build something without the right structure in place. That led me to shift into automation and intentional systems, and now everything I create is designed to eliminate that same overwhelm for others.

My podcast, Boss Women Network Podcast, is an extension of that work. It creates a space for real conversations around business, mindset, and growth, while also giving visibility to entrepreneurs and their journeys. It allows me to connect, teach, and highlight what building with intention actually looks like in real time.

In addition to my work with CEOess, I am also building the Young Creators Foundation, a nonprofit focused on empowering youth through media, technology, and creative development. The foundation is designed to give young people access to tools, training, and opportunities in areas like podcasting, content creation, and emerging technology, helping them develop real skills they can carry into their future.

What I am most proud of, brand-wise, is the evolution and the impact. CEOess represents a shift from burnout to structure, and Young Creators Foundation represents legacy and access for the next generation. One focuses on helping entrepreneurs build smarter, the other focuses on equipping youth with the tools to create and lead early.

I want readers to understand that my work goes beyond services. It is about building systems, creating opportunities, and changing how people approach growth. Whether I am working with entrepreneurs or building platforms for the next generation, the mission remains the same: to create structure, access, and sustainable success.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In my business, the next 5–10 years are going to be defined by one major shift: moving from manual, personality-driven brands to fully structured, system-driven businesses.
Right now, many entrepreneurs are still operating in a way where everything depends on them. They are the brand, the content creator, the sales team, and the operations. That model does not scale long term. What I see happening is a transition into businesses that are built on infrastructure first.
Through my work with CEOess, I see the demand already increasing for systems that can handle lead generation, onboarding, follow-up, content distribution, and client experience without constant manual input. In the future, that will not be optional, it will be the standard.
Another shift I see is that automation will become more personalized, not less. People assume systems make things feel robotic, but the opposite is happening. Businesses will be able to deliver tailored experiences at scale, while still maintaining a strong brand voice and connection.
I also see a shift in what clients are looking for. Right now, many are focused on visibility, social media, and content. Over the next several years, the focus will move toward structure and sustainability. Clients will want to know how their business runs, how it converts, and how it operates without them being involved in every step.
There will also be a clear separation in the market. You will have entrepreneurs who build systems early and position themselves for scale, and others who continue to operate manually and struggle to grow. That gap is only going to widen.
What this means for my business is that the work I do becomes even more essential. I am not just helping people automate tasks, I am helping them build the foundation of how their business operates long term.
At the same time, I see my work expanding beyond just entrepreneurs. With the Young Creators Foundation, I am preparing the next generation to understand these systems early. They will not just be consumers of technology, they will know how to use it to create, build, and lead.
Overall, the direction is clear. Businesses that are built with structure, systems, and intention will lead. Everything else will feel outdated.
That is where my business is positioned, and that is where it is going.
